I've used the Death Adder for several years now. Their mice (at least this and I've heard good from Naga users, as well) are good quality.

Their keyboards are hit or miss, though. I had a Lycara or w/e that went out pretty quickly. Headphones, too.

I used to use the Lachesis mouse at the time 4000dpi was considered high. If you're looking for it for a shooter, their streamline mice are much better than the considerable Naga series with macro hot keys right on it. Personally, I use a steelseries Sensei mouse now partly because I got a good deal on it along with the headset, but it turned out to be a fantastic investment. Always go wired :D

I use a razer mouse as well as razer megladon headset. I really like them both. The headset gives me grief on occasion. If I ever unplug it it seems as though when I plug it back in windows has to reset it up and then I have to make it my default every time as well seems that unplugging it windows changes all my settings for audio but when plugging it back in windows don't recognize it to change things back. The mouse is brilliant wouldn't buy another brand.

I used to use Logitech a lot, but after I found razer I haven't switched back, unless I'm poor as hell, but once you get a good product it lasts forever, unless you're just unlucky

I thought their products required internet connections to save config data up to their servers, which could also not be saved locally. Their stated purpose was so if you take your keyboard or mouse elsewhere you can download them. So if you want to use your customized configs even on your own machine at home you cannot unless online. I find that kind of thing annoying for something as simple as a mouse.

no internet is only required for syncing synapse 2.0.... internet connection is not required to make full use of their gear.... i had a razer megladon for 3 years, a razer mamba for 3 years and a razer lychesis for 3 years.... i now have a razer oroborus, a corsair headset, and a roccat keyboard due to money issues.

I have owned two Deathadders, a Carcharias headset, a Black Widow keyboard,  a Naga, and a Kabuto mousepad. First Deathadder lasted two years but the scroll wheel broke during the first year. Second one I got this past Christmas and the left click broke the first week of March (piece of shit). Carcharias headset is great (suits those with big heads well), and I prefer it over my Steel Series headset (barely fits my head). The Black Widow keyboard is amazing, I don't regret buying it for a second. The Naga is a good mouse, however the cursor skips sometimes, preventing some motion, and not always do I find something blocking the laser on the bottom so I tap it a little and it usually works again. The Kabuto mousepad was cheap but can easily be packed for travel.

Oh yes, and I briefly owned a Taipan mouse, but I exchanged it for the Naga. The Taipan felt really weird. I couldn't get used to it.

I loved the feel of the Deathadder, but I refuse to buy another one. I've heard of a company called Zowie which makes mice and products similar to competitors. I know Zowie has a mouse that has the exact same shape and buttons as a Deathadder, but I don't need another mouse right now. My friends recommend Zowie mice.
