Hi all idiots, tho this is mainly for the English peeps. I have a 1gig graphics card and obviously need to upgrade to a 3-4gig. On eBay are several but I don't know what I'm looking for. A 650 or 770?what's that about? Any help would be appreciated. My comps an Asus 16gig ram so that's ok but I've been out of touch with making them since I built my ones about 20yrs ago...

Thnx

Depends what you are planning on playing, if you are still just going to play Cod4 or Cod5 you may as well save your money Bazz, because with a 3 or 4 Gig card you will be a bit over qualified shall we say.

I have MSI GeForce GTX 770 4GB. Really good card. I can play BF4 maxed out. Even maxed out what I can in Nvidia Controlpanel.

Would love to have a GeForce GTX Titan Z ( http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-titan-z )

We got players who play with us in BF4 now who use a 1 Gig card, granted it's not ideal but they do play, but yes if you want to play BF4 then i would recommend a 3 or 4 Gig card.

So does it matter between a 660 or a 770? I take it the 770 is better, but how much better?

My last comp had a 256mb and I thought that was good.....

Bazza, here's where I always start thanks to the folks at Tom's Hardware: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-8.html

The information is updated frequently enough to guide you toward your starting point. If I were purchasing right now I would look seriously at the Radeon R9 290. If paired with another, you'll have no horse power than the top card, the Radeon R9 295X, which costs upwards of $1,500.00 U.S. I just checked the price on the Radeon R9 290, MSI has one at Newegg for $434.99 U.S. This is a 4 gig card.

Check it out!

With your budget I would go with a 680, that's in your range. Depending on your power supply and mobo you can always add another one later.
