Maybe, if there where differences in the server besides ping we could make a decent post.. but the 2 servers are pretty much the same.. And besides, @@Ruggerxi claims ping difference doesnt make gameplay difference, where it does so then we can say he's wrong rite? Please don't post that your ping is higher "because ping really doesn't matter unless you are like 100 or 200 points higher which I don't see happening from moving from New York to Pennsylvania. " Im simply not enjoying my gameplay here on this new server where the ONLY difference is ping after the fixes i supose.. ^^ I went from more kills then defrosts and more defrost then death in most maps besides the times i was really wasted obviously... to not hitting shit about 1 kill every 2-3 deaths, same with defrosting just dropped compared to my death rate.. I kinda play at the same level as before i became a member and was pretty much a newb in the game And like with most things in life, its easyer to gain then to lose,,.. This mod doesn't have some of the fixes that Sammy made to the NY server. I like this PA server for the following reasons: - Better latency for me from 108 ms [NY] down to 8 0 ms [PA] ( I am in California) - Hit registration for me is better, I can actually get credit for 1 shot kills, my KDR has been higher Don't like about this version of the mw2noacr - Body Armor aka Helmet - FUCK THIS SHIT, nade, car, tube and that fucking thing survives. 1 full clip from the M16 mother fucking bullshit. Actual headshots don't mean anything. For all who have lag issues, welcome to what we have suffered the past months. You guys enjoyed great latency to NY server and didn't have the issues that you do now. Well, moving the server, however temporary, relieved some of that for us west coasters. I did extensive optimizing of my COD config to work with the previous server. Roughly 75% better hit registration after making my optimization changes. This new server is even better. What are your feelings on this new server compared to the old server. I like to continue feeling these feelings. Please keep this server, just move the Mod files from the old server to this one and everything ought to be dandy! Yes we will choose the location so it is on the east coast and therefore give the best average pings worldwide as well as catering for the higher player counts from the US. But that is as far as it goes. We get that pings will change and for some it will be better and some it will be worse. The gauge we are trying to get at is if the network has good connectivity (ping is not an absolute measure of this). There will be lag as that is an impossibility to remove, what we are aiming for is having lag at acceptable levels. The feedback from this thread seems to show that you are receiving more lag than the .55 server so due to that we will look at an alternate solution. It looks like we will have to go with a different host that may mean we lose the stats and in-game commands. Your lag is being caused by something in between. Pinging you from the server yields this result: There are two spikes in that short capture time which will be the problem. The final hop visible is to your current IP address which is of 340ms, the previous hop being 55ms. What I do not understand is why you are only having issues on this singular server as the trace route is displaying the final hop as the one which issues which is your own network. This is with 10-15 people in the server and it gets worse with more people. Same thing happened on the old server. When I play at other servers that are located around Atlanta I have no issues, same thing if I play on any west coast servers no ci's whatsoever. What I cant deal with is the body armor, dropped a nade right on someone and all I got was the armor shield..who then just turns around and freezes me. Beyond annoying!!!!!!!!!
