k guys. Played about 3hrs tdm. Minor config problem. A couple of cosmetic ones. Only a few people so not enough for a good ftag test. Wasnt sure about changing it to ftag and leaving it on before I went to bed so put the noacr mod up.

 

So.....

 

Tomorrow afternoon, when I can be around and keep an eye on things in case of issues, I will be changing the noacr mod to the new mod ftag for awhile and see how it goes.

Sentry Nade and Sentry Gun and Sentry Defroster all have a problem.

 

Once killed If you hit the Deploy button it will automatically Deploy the Second that you respawn.I tested this and it happens every time if you hit the button while frozen.

Yep, just had that happen to me, my sentry nade deployed in a bathroom when I spawned, bummer

I tried to cancel Deployment by switching weapons,throwing frags and applying bandage but nothing cancels it.

 

This was happening before but I could not find exactly what was causing it to deploy.

In the old mod you could deploy while frozen.No animation was needed to deploy.

 

This mod it has to go through the animation before it deploys.Which you will not do while frozen.

 

 

I had a total of 6 Sentrys last night and accidentally hit the deploy while frozen or I was in the process of Deploying and got frozen 4 times.All 4 Deployed when I respawned.

 

 

People are used to being able to Deploy them while frozen.

Yea the sentry thing was a small fix. Actually affected a lot of streaks not just sentries. Seems ok and will upload with the rest. It wasnt deploy on frozen. It was drop on death. Or should it should have only been that.

Uploaded some hot fixes to take care of a few known issues.

 

Discovered that hacking enemy explosives had a problem. Probably related to moving explosives to their own category. Will work on that.

Gunny was the last one alive and we were all spectating him, he was moving to a corner and got killed by an exploded carepackage which wasn't there and probably outside that wall.... So wrong!!!

Sammy, I had something strange happen yesterday....I had one of those situations where I shot someone at the same time they shot me..I saw the hit markers for hitting them....then I was instantly frozen, but they did not die/get frozen. Someone defrosted me...and about 2 seconds after I was re-spawned...I saw that I had killed someone on the screen (even though I just re-spawned and had not fired my weapon yet)..so I presume it was the guy from before. Just thought you might want to know if there is something to investigate.

 

BTW...I love this mod, and greatly appreciate your work on it.

Put it this way...

 

Want to stack three streaks?

Have both explosives and three perks?

A rocket launcher that can lock onto players?

Claymores?

silencer + rds weapons?

Laser attachment?

 

And so on?

 

That means a new mod version. If however none of these things are desired then yes there is no reason to change.

that happened to me to.  I was in a small room with only a door and a package blew up and killed me, and I was not close to the door.  no idea where it was.

No gunny did not hear or got any warnings, we were all spectating him because he was the last one, in that room or even near him was no package that is why i am thinking maybe that it went throught the wall. It was very weird and totally not logical.

It cant go through the wall. It works like a claymore. In fact, I actually have to delete the package model 1 frame before the explosion is set off or the package itself will block it. I saw a youtube of the MW2 care package, before it is exploded, quickly moving up high for one frame to get out of the way then it is gone.

 

You are sure however that the killicon showed an exploding care package? Did someone else get credit for the kill? Or did it show suicide or something?

Ok guys I might be wrong. I checked out the code for it and it might not be doing LOS checks. Will work in it.

 

edit: Anyways this morning only one bug in the game logs. I think it was someone that rage quit when dying from Venom and I have to account for that. :lol:

Ok for the specing thing. Is this during overtime? If I am in the server, but not on any team, I can follow anybody and fly around (melee key).

yes it is in overtime that you can't spec everyone.  just your own team.

Thank you for doing this mod.Good job man but i realize that knife ranges are very short according to orginal cod4 knifes and previous mod,even im using commando perk,I think it doesn't make difference about range.Can u check it in game because it is very hard to knife someone  :happy: . Im playing with only knife at other servers and without knife im nothing.Sorry for my bad english but I have to say that because Im not enjoying anymore without knife in freezetag.

Just reminding:In orginal cod4 knife ranges are 64 for slash and 128 for stab it is same for mw2 also with commando perk in mw2 range is increase to 176.For this new mod I think both slash and stab ranges are below from 64.Thank you for your interest already.

Knife is standard range. Commando doubles it. I dont know if the melee aimbot is on. Trust me I worked with it quite a lot fo figure out a good range for commando. For testing I once set it so far that you could knife 10x longer than normal. Was pretty funny.

If you sure about range is standart just try to someone knife in game while you chasing after him.Even I were very close(like no range between enemy and me) to enemy I couldn't knife them.If it isn't arise from range then it is probably melee aimbot.As I said that before I'm using only knife and can get 50 to 100 kill per a game with only knife.But in this mod it is very different that is all I can say about that.

Yes I know 64 was bumped up to 128 with the perk. 3X is a bit much imo. Which weapon are you using when you try it?

You understand me wrong there are two types of knife hit in cod4 and mw2 one is slash and other is stab let me explain you with a short video.At the start of video first knife kill is slash second kill is slash too but if you look to animation at 3rd kill.it is different from first kill and second kill so it is stab which is have more range for slash.so it isn't bumped up with any perks it is game mechanism about knife.I tried to knife with a lot of weapon but nothing changing.even im using commando or not using it.
