If u are shooting at a running target shoot in front not behind. The Saritch is very accurate that is a good thing and a bad thing if u are a sprayer. I missed people running infront of me when I was trying to shoot behind them and following thru.

Shoot on target or ahead. Stationary targets die quickly as their hit markers dont move.

@@Sammy Can we please have a delay at the start of a new map to allow all players to join the server.

At present those who load in and weapon up can be in the opposition spawn before most of the other players have even loaded the new map

@@Sammy I remember reading that one of the perks was supposed to allow you to piggy back on the enemy uav to see their positions, is this also supposed to be the case with the UAV defroster? I called the UAV defroster and it immediately shot at and defrosted a person on the opposite team I had stuck in a spot where his team wouldn't have been able to see him.

Could you be more specific? Are you saying it defrosted an enemy player?

You will only see their positions if they fire non-silenced weapons.  Just to note, with team headicons they will know where he is. Or the general direction if they are far away. Both defrosters need a direct LOS. Like sentryguns.

Yes, I don't remember the map, but the enemy player was stuck in our spawn, I called the UAV defroster. saw the defrost shoot, and it hit and defrosted the enemy player.

Used my RC car and nothing happened... was running around with my PDA out like a bell end.

still missing too many certain kills. Its like you have to hit them in the breast plate or between the eyes or it doesnt count.

People surviving headshots is not right, armour or not.

People survived headshots with juggernaut unless you had a sniper rifle and stopping power. So this is nothing new.

There was this chick, she survived all my headshots. She kept asking her friends for a "Shampoo" that works.

I think it was milkys headshot.

It was sniper rifle with armour piercing I think. Just relaying feedback.

The car thing was weird though. I went for my car and selected a care package by mistake, so I scrolled to next weapon to get rid and selected the rc car....I got my rc car controller out and stayed like that for 5 seconds before I got rid by scrolling weapon again. Then moonpie shot me in the face, the git.

Yes there were some compromises. Because of quick switching like that it caused problems with internal timings and events. Some may remember that awhile back. So a couple mandatory delays were needed to prevent switching until a particular weapon was fully lowered and whichever streak activation weapon had started its raise functions. This is the hiccup you see when using the cellphone. Controls have to be locked until the current weapon is fully lowered and the cellphone starts its raising process.

However, if there is something I could do that might help keep keypress mistakes like that to a minimum let me know and I will look into it. Could do a double-key kind of thing. Press 7, 8 or 9 to set whichever streak you want to use next. Then press 6 to actually use it when desired. That would probably prevent choosing the wrong one because you already selected it before hand but if you are in a hurry it might not be a good thing.

I don't mind how it is now. Changing to separate select and use keys may just complicate it for people.

I just need to stop mashing the keyboard like a monkey with a golf club!

When you get a defroster UAV, it should show an icon of it in the top middle telling you which key to press to active (like every other killstreak), but it shows it white box instead of the image.

Just want to make a quick post about an issue players sometimes experience near bubbles (friend and foe) and they can hardly move. It is a symptom of all games and it is not related to any mod. It happens when two players... or more properly the cylinders used for collision detection... occupy the same space at the same time. In game terms this is 'telefragging'. So if you stand on top of a dead body to get a dropped weapon, and the dead player respawns frozen, you are both occupying the same space. Eventually the cylinders will move away from each other, barring game geometry being in the way, but it takes time.

The RC does this in that if an enemy stands on the place the owner needs to respawn the enemy is killed and frozen there. They are still telefragging each other but since they cannot move anyways it doesnt matter. On defrost the player respawns normally somewhere else.

Many games use this as a feature or possibly a weapon (Unreal). If you are standing on a spawn point and someone spawns on it you die. Or for the weapon you shoot a disk at an enemies feet then push a button to materialize there and kill the enemy. Then you pick up the disk so you can do it again.

I am looking on how to arrange some perks. Any further changes will be added to beta 6.

In this particular case, since no matter what change I make someone might not be happy, if Hardwired was moved to tier 3 would there be any objections? At least among those that bother to read posts?

Well, I currently use hardwired and hardline.  I'm guessing i'll be losing hardwired if this happens.  That may not be a huge deal depending on what else you move around...if you plan to move other stuff?  Could you post a current or projected perk list and distribution?

See? I cant win.

Perks in beta 6 right now.

tier 1: steady aim, double tap, stopping power, sonic boom, sleight of hand, ap, infected

tier 2: objective, scavenger, dead silence, hardwired, hardline, commando, hacker

tier 3: tacmask, hunter, last stand, combat medic, ballistic vest, stealth, flak jacket, gambler.

If I move hardwired to tier 3 then something from there goes to tier 2. Whatever is moved should not conflict with other things or remove needed combinations.

to me Hardwired makes sense in the 3rd tier. Move last stand to tier 2.
