I use Asus routers with wifi. They made a extender that I added to my system and it worked great. Not sure what the range was but it could have been placed quite a ways from the router with a extension cable. Check the manufacturer of the router you are losing and see if they make one for it. Mine hardwired to it Edited May 26, 2016 by bds1961 Blackbart 1 Awards

I have a cabin in garden with the electric connected to main fuse board , I plugged one into wall socket and connected it to router then I put one in the loft and one with wifi in the cabin . I now have wireless Internet right down to bottom of my garden running at 50mb . The loft room one is not wifi but has a wired connection . This I just use for my work pc as the house wifi works there already . I wish I had fitted them sooner they are great hxtr and Blackbart 2 Awards

No cable, My internet is fiber optic direct to the house...I get it from the local phone company and it would be costly to have it run to the shop... Awards
