I got Tiger when I was 7 years old, when I get him he was somewhere between 3 or 5 years old, meaning he could have been born 1999 - 2001. We dont know because he was a homeless beach cat. Beach cats are a common things where I live, people abandon their cats they dont want anymore on the beaches, some of them not being fixed and they have litters of kittens making the problem worse. There are people who take their time rescuing these cats. They either take these cats and give them their vaccines and neuter/spay them (you can identify these cats because they have a small V cut out of their left ear) and release them back on the beaches or they do the same but take these cats home. A friend of ours did the latter but eventually had to move and their new housing did not allow cats. So she came to us and with tears in her eyes begged us to take the cat. We did. Tiger was always an odd cat. He disliked anyone besides me. He slept wherever I slept and wanted to be somewhere in my line of sight. His time on the beach meant he was on indoor/outdoor cat and fought off any other cat that would dare to enter our property. He would leave gifts on our doorstep in the form of dead animals including birds and Cuban anoles. He was always a thin cat with dark stripes all over his body. We think he was some sort of British Tabby mix. Outdoor cats usually had shorter life spans than indoor cats but Tiger was 18-20 when we decided to put him down yesterday. He wasnt the same cat anymore. He was mostly deaf now and would loudly scream throughout the night. We would put food on the table for him which he would eat for a short while, then yell like he did before the food was there. We would pick up the food so he couldnt see it, then put it back down, and he would begin eating again. He didnt notice his treats. He wouldnt leave the yard anymore but he was king of the whole street when he was younger. He would exit through the front door then seconds later be at the back door yelling to be let back in. He never entered my bedroom anymore and would only lay on top of me for a couple minutes when i slept on the couch before he went to stand on the table, but he would sleep on my chest for the whole night when he was younger. Tiger had been like this for a while now and we could tell he was unhappy. He had reached the end of his rope. We wrapped him in a towel and headed for the Humane Society. I'm sure you know the rest. Tears we shed. After we went to the beach Tiger was born which has a brewery. I had a few drinks in his name, in the name of my best friend. I will never, ever, find another cat like Tiger. He pretty much had dementia, the weight was dropping off him, he was always confused and his body was deteriorating. He barely ate and was meowing loudly all the time. The nicest and humane thing we could do was have him put down. Another cat of mine was similar. He was in a lot of pain because of arthritis and it caused him a lot of problems and he couldn't go outside, he wasn't eating either. He's better now Stay strong mate Helio 1 Awards

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge... When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. THEN YOU CROSS RAINBOW BRIDGE TOGETHER...
