That is certainly one way, sometimes it works other times not. Then again, people having a discussion, even if many don't participate (like presidential elections) and coming to a decision is preferable.

Ok here is my rebuttal to the Heist perk. How is it any different that calling a care package  getting killed and watching your care package stolen. Sorry but my feeling is if you don't like something about the mod sometimes you have to just deal with it. Not everyone is going to be satisfied and get WHAT THEY WANT all the time. There is plenty of shit I don't like about the 1.46 mod  but oh well I have to deal with it.

It's different because when I call for a care package I am aware of the possibility that I could be frozen and my package stolen from me. BUT I have the choice of when I get to call for it so I can defend what I worked towards best I can. If I get a kill steak reward but get frozen right after receiving it, and then have it taken from me, I never got the opportunity to use. It's not fair to the person working towards the killstreaks.

Killstreak rewards are half the reason why the MW2 mod is different from the original freezetag mod. Giving someone an opportunity to take that away from another just isn't fair in my eyes. 

Especially when it's not just care packages they can take from you. The enemy can take ANY killstreak someone has. 

 

Perhaps it could be reworked to have the heist perk user duplicate the killstreak instead of taking it? That seems much more fair in my eyes. 

Or the player could choose what kind of killstreak they can steal? Limiting them slightly? 

 

That's my two cents about it. Would love to hear others opinions on it. I would like to see a change with it.

Go to your mods folder in the game files and delete xi_mw2_147b2, it will delete the mod and you can redownload, should fix it.

Weapon_rocketgun_256  is an image file, but the name shouldnt include the 256 part. 256 is the pixel dimensions 256x256. Strange.

ok i understand the 2 car thing and i like but exploding car can still defrost 1 person . should the defrst car get 1 kill at end when it blows up?

need to put smr back like it was from 1.46 and have smr vs lmg.. and i cant get heist to work i kill have the perk stand on the guy with little heist icon hit or tap my use key but never get then i end up getting killed.should make if ur buy the person all u have to do is knife them when dead to get it as long u got the perk?

No different than taking a package or hacking a sentrygun. There should be appropriate risk involved considering what you may get. Could be a UAV. Could be Duke.  But not certain death for making the attempt. So the question to ask, what kind of risk either makes it too difficult that you die every time or makes it too easy and you get freebies? Neither are good.

When you made the kill did you get the message about pressing a certain key?

Noticed an error although it could be by design. When you are turning into an explosive car (not sure on other car or perks) and you get shot as you are turning into it and get frozen, you lose the perk from your loadout.

 

Edit - Also when the contact nade hits the player directly and explodes it doesn't kill them, only if it lands next to them.

I dont know if this will actually work. But just for kicks if you want to try it. Someone on your team activates a defroster car. Throw a pack of C4 on it. Because the player/driver is also there, which C4 cant stick to, I dont know if there would be a conflict. Or what would happen when the car moves. Or anything else that would happen. Hopefully nothing totally unbalanced or error causing.

Seems to me as a really sophisticated tactic. On my side, I run, I defrost, I shoot, I run, I shoot, I defrost then I die (usually after having missed my shots) :yes

True. It would be a specialized thing to do and requires working with someone instead of spawn-shoot-die-repeat. The one with the C4 trigger sets off the bomb.

And maybe there would be no point to it actually. But if it works, it would be really funny just to see it happen.

Hey @Sammy The SMAW seems to have an odd issue.  If you fire one, then reload and subsequently sprint, you have to reload again before firing?!

i killed him then stand right next to him holding my use key .. which everyone said to do . do i tap it or do i hold it like stealing apackage . if like stealing a package do u see a timer bar? then i have a key set for use stolen package.

Press and hold and yes you should see the progress bar.

Hmmm, just tried it. One shot and I was dead. Should be 200 health.

edit: Ok I see the Duke issue. The problem.... well not exactly a problem... is that any registered headshot is an instakill. Regardless of range, weapon, armor or anything else. There isnt an exception made for Duke. So perhaps in this case there should be of some sort. Maybe +%50?
