Do you still have the card? You could try the trusty old oven method to resurrect it.

It does sometimes work! Resets the solder. I kept an old card going years ago for 6-9 months doing this. Baked it 3 or 4 times lol.

No I have not tried that. When I put the card back in.. It won't start up or freeze in middle of the start up. Done a full re install and everything. Tried it in my son's pc too.. Same thing..   It is getting old so.. It is a msi gtx780..   Saving to by me a new one to build.  Hoping to get the rtx series

Mekketom

Sharpe is correct  just remove plastic

set-up tray as link suggests

and pre-heat oven

bake  (depends on oven)  x  mins

turn off oven  and let cool on own before remove from oven

Worth a shot if the card isn't working. I think I got @iboomboom to try it a few years ago and it worked for him too if I remember correctly.

You got good memory @Sharpe. It certainly rings a bell. I don't remember what I did specifically. I believe it was with a RD 7870 Or maybe the RD 4870. My PC wasn't booting due to a GFX error and then it worked after I did this and the solder resettled. You just have to be careful with the temperature setting on the oven.
