Resets the solder. I kept an old card going years ago for 6-9 months doing this. Baked it 3 or 4 times lol. When I put the card back in.. It won't start up or freeze in middle of the start up. Done a full re install and everything. Tried it in my son's pc too.. Same thing.. It is getting old so.. I believe it was with a RD 7870 Or maybe the RD 4870. My PC wasn't booting due to a GFX error and then it worked after I did this and the solder resettled.
