An old Vietnam Veteran friend of mine gave me this Camillus knife years ago. It was rough, battered, and scared, really used. Wish I had taken a before picture, but I didn't. Was sitting at my desk w/a can of Mother's mag wheel polish nearby, and absentmindedly started polishing. Never used Mother's on hardened steel before, didn't think it had any effect, but wow! I was wrong. Lots of polish, lots of sanding w/1000 grit, and stoning an edge & honing on a butcher's steel got it to this point. It can cut a sheet of paper freehand, about as sharp as I can get anything.

It's tough, don't know what alloy it is or what tempering they did. Scared.....lol, probably scared it was going to be ignored for a few more years. Here's my Ontario kitchen set, they were scarred from use too, but Mother's brought them back to a mirror shine. My wife Lori loved using them, but hated the cleaning part. She was a dishwasher kind of gal. Put a brand new set of Rada knives through our washer & ruined every handle. ?

I remember playing a game called APB with my old clan. Loved it. Was fun at the time. And there were clear cheaters and they even admitted all throughout game. Well I got lucky and bought some credits and got an amazing pistol and this kick ass sniper rifle. I was in a battle against the cops and I had the perfect shot. Blam head shot. Next thing I know my account was banned for cheating. I had killed an admin and I even stated my case. Like I bought these guns and I literally just got a luck shot in. They clearly didn't care so I had to restart a whole new profile. I was so pissed. Never bought anything off the game again.

Also, feels like it actually has a full tang, too! That's probably why it feels as sturdy & well-balanced as it is. It balances right where you apply your thumb & index finger.

Just a heads up ! All three (3) Cod2 servers have been getting bombarded with dos attacks over the last several days...NFO has reported that they were able to filter them out...This has been reported as the last six (6) days and may or may not effect server traffic with a higher then normal ping due to the intense filtering with attacks coming from a flood of traffic from IPs ending in 0.0... If for any reason there should be a over flow a simple restart may mitigate the problem This is just a FYI and no action currently is needed

The servers are fine honestly unless people have had performance issues in game or so The XI INS servers have been attempted to be DDOS'ed for the past few years on average every week. NFO notify you the DDOS attack attempts, you can also check the attacking IP address to get a idea of who is attacking your servers. Ironically only recently I discovered one a few weeks ago, we were bombarded with like 5 DDOS attacks on the one server, 3 were in the space of 5 mins and all came from the same IP which is the signs of an amateurs job . I did a quick search and the IP in question was only on one of the servers a few hours previously. He is banned now of course ?

COD2 is still there because of the people who still love it. COD5 with its popularity would be a tough argument. There are plenty of us that still play many flavors. I play cod2, cod4, Warzone.

For the people on here with tears in their eyes about people hopping, newsflash the hitbox of the target remains the same. Work on your aim.

Hi all I have not been able to get on line hardly at all for about 2 months now, if I ever do my ping is all over the place, totally unable to play? Sadly I have to use 4g here provided by the three network. Total crap as they have stuffed up the mask near me which supplies the signal ? Hence if I ever get a decent signal then fire up, it lasts a minute or 2 then goes. Unable to stream movies/tv/games any sort of downloads. They are bloody useless and as for customer services that is a total joke. At present there is no high speed fibre, only old fashion cooper ? Have unplugged re plugged , moved/ reset etc. Nothing Works. Hence why if I get on servers I have to leave. If three sorted out the mask then all could be fine maybe but, they do not give a (*hit) So sorry to all of you out there who miss their loving old Senzei? , he has not left so his deadly skills will return ASAP. 1 Good bit of news fibre cables have been now laid around this area but told it will take several months to connect ? So all stop ? Senzei Will be back

Already makes the player invisible to enemy equipment like sentries & even helicopters. If I really want to safely get to the next spot on a planned path, I just get an rcxd or defroster car & use the 5 seconds respawn to cover the ground. Can't go taking everything away from the hiders.

Code is getting d dos attacks as well according to nfo. So its not the game being attacked it is NFO getting hit.

Very. Especially when the usual "not my fault I was hacked" comments come out. Assuming you are using standard security these days for battlenet its unlikely you are going to get hacked unless you're careless.

That explains how bad the server for a few weekends ago, peoples pings were hitting way into the 300's, if not more. I'll let you know if anything like it happens again. Last time it happened I did a server restart; it helped a tiny bit but it came back.

Well I use poison sometimes and I think cars should be yanked, smaws are too powerful, those nasty rocket guns banned etc etc ? ffs it's a game, just play it, every few weeks a moan about something 'because it does not suit 'them' ', an awful lot of us would like the bunny hoppers grounded but you're all too late, this was sorted out ages ago, and there's only been one minor change, so don't hold your breath I think. Human nature thing here, most of those who said they would never play again at the last change have crept back, and a few that played for a while seem to have left (temporary?). However not only are many new players appearing (fcking hackers) the server is, with the exception of Europe, full again, job done well I'd say? We used to have a flourishing European 'breakfast club' that for whatever reason has died a death during covid, hope it recovers.

I agree. I will take it a few steps further. I think the emp blindness should be yanked myself. I like Ruthless find myself sitting. It is more annoying than anything. It is happening in large periods of the game. Poison bullets should be yanked as well as kill streak stealing. Just my 2 cents. They do little for the game. I think the kill streak stealing is really newbish. Stronger players with kill streaks may be less likely to push a spawn to get those streaks taken. Which makes for a more passive game.
