  6. An old-school PC veteran reporting for duty (MOHAA & CoD) Hey everyone! First of all, thank you so much for accepting me into the forum. I’m dropping by to introduce myself and share a brief summary of my years in the Spanish PC scene. I’m talking about the good old days: the late 2000s, endless nights on TeamSpeak, dedicated servers, and daily banter on the forums. If any of you were around back then, we probably crossed paths on one of these two fronts: My Medal of Honor (MOHAA) years In Medal of Honor, I was right in the middle of everything going on in the community. I didn't miss a thing. Public servers and good vibes: I got along with absolutely everyone. It didn't matter what clan you belonged to or if you were just a casual player; I was always on the servers running maps or having a laugh on TeamSpeak. Competing internationally: I made the jump to international leagues and played at a global competitive level against foreign clans, mainly facing top-tier European teams. National tournaments and LAN finals: Although we fought hard abroad, where we really brought home the trophies was domestically, winning several major tournaments. The best part was that the finals were played live at LAN centers (cybercafes); we had to travel across the country hauling our PC towers, CRT/LCD monitors, peripherals, and all the hassle that came with it just to compete. A wonderful kind of madness you just don't see anymore. Behind the National Team: I was heavily involved with the Spanish National Team, but not as the typical frontline player in the Nations Cups. Instead, I worked behind the scenes as part of the staff. I managed the servers, helped organize scrims/practices, and handled logistics so our roster could perform at their best. Hunting down cheaters: I put a lot of time into keeping the game fair. I spent hours reviewing demos sent in by the community for suspicious players and testing tools to detect no-recoil cheats, doing everything possible to keep our local servers as clean as possible. The switch to Call of Duty: World at War (CoD5) As the community began to shift, I moved over to the Call of Duty franchise during the World at War era. Joining a clan and living the experience: Shortly after pubbing on the servers, I officially joined a clan in the local competitive scene. I had a blast there—competing in tournaments, playing matches, and sharing the daily grind with my teammates during one of the most fun eras of online multiplayer. I played the ERM mod for quite a while, and it was awesome. Taking a break, Counter-Strike, and returning to my roots After that, real life got busy. Between work and family, I was forced to step away from gaming and spent quite a few years without touching a single video game. Later on, when I finally had some free time, I spent a season playing Counter-Strike. But honestly... modern games just don't do it for me. I really don't like the direction modern shooters have taken. I am, and always will be, a WWII shooter enthusiast. That’s why, now that I have more free time, I’ve gotten completely hooked on playing CoD5 again and reliving those days when I had so much fun. Just a heads-up: my English is pretty rough, and to be honest, I'm quite clumsy with it. That’s why I rarely use text or voice chat in-game. I know the basic callouts and terms from my competitive days, but don’t expect much beyond that, haha! Still, nostalgic guy that I am, I usually record my current gameplay just to keep as memories. If anyone wants to check out some matches, just ask! I'd be happy to share. I also made a donation, but forgot to include my in-game username just in case you guys need it. Thanks again for having me; from what I can see on the forum, you guys seem like a great and well-organized clan. It's a real pleasure to come across communities like this. Cheers to everyone!
