The day before yesterday was the first day I got music on one for them. In the process I seem to have lost about 300gig of music and even more has been converted to AAC format and deleted the original. After fighting this foul thing for about a week I finally manged to get it to work. The oldest is happy now. On to the second........... I plug in the second, rename it ,and go thru the setup sequence. Easy enough, BUT even though I set it to be manually managed, it automatically loaded the WHOLE iPod. The next few minutes are spent sitting idlely while it syncs. Well now I can't pick all songs and delete I have to spend the next hour deleting the individual song separately. So today my task is to get the wanted music on the other iPod reload all my lost music from backup and keep my blood pressure low enough to maintain a healthy day. FUCK IPOD AND ITUNES. Because of this experience I will never buy digital music or any device from them ever again. I am also a network administrator and coworkers always ask my opinion about Apple and I give them the old what for. There is only one Apple fanboy at work but the rest tell me the same story: They have an apple computer they paid $1400 for and never use it "can I help them sell it" Do not buy Apple you will regret it forever. Another program you can use is XPlay. http://www.mediafour.com/support/xplay I had an IPod and yes the sound is great, feels great, looks great... but I want to plug my shit into any pc and get to my music and I want a Folder View to brows my music. Awesome because B.) It will hold my entire 300GB collection, C.) It has a lookup service for album art and correcting song names D.) It's not iPoo E.) Got lots of free skins and F.) It can print out a list of your collection! I used winamp for the firs few years I was on the computer, but this is the shiznit!
