That only happens if you run out of ammo. In this case the gun switches to the next higher in the list. 25mm->40->105. Then back to 25 again. The game does that automatically, like the auto-switch from primary to pistol.

 

Good to know...maybe next time I won't be so heavy handed... :robo:

Yes. People tended to spam the map with the old style 25mm way too much. Myself included. ;%29.gif

yea and i also was shooting dead aim on someone runnin straight at me he didnt take one bullet then killd me this is worse than the one thats on chicago server

i just got hit by a nova gas grenade that someone threw and it killed me instantly, even though i had full health...that aint right.

 

Never seen that. Impact damage for all nades is the standard 15 points. But will see if I can reproduce it here.

 

edit: did it 10 times and 15 points damage each. Will continue to watch out for it while doing my testing.

Since I don't know what is intended or what is a "bug" I'll keep posting here when I experience something that doesn't appear to be normal.

 

Just tried joining the beta server and it indicates there are 3 slots open (25/28). When I join and select a class I get redirected to another server. The other server, however, seems to time-out after the redirect. Bringing it up here in case there is an issue with the redirect. (Maybe someone is having fun with me or I am being booted for a member....all fine but wanted to point this out just in case.)

Direct tubes and nade impacts are the same as far as game mechanics works. The differences are a unique icon and a forced automatic kill (like headshots). Funny enough barrel and car explosions are the same type of death (impact) but the icons are changed. In SC games nade impacts are obviously mosquito bites unless the player is already near death. But in HC games (as in this server) it is significant.

 

Learned yesterday that there are a couple reseved slots for admins set in the beta server settings. For the auto redirect I would like to do it before loadout selection but dont know where to do that yet. :hrhr:

love the weapons and maps but stang's ping is way too low now and I think he has a definite unfair advantage in that server now....

great server but

no explosives reload after RC perk like Chicago.I miss that.

How about make claymores stay alive after your killed like server 1 then maybe youl have a chance to kill something since most of your deaths are from nades,clays or tubes..chalk another one up for fun...how bout it..

 

seems like there is no spawn protections sometimes ...you spawn look to run and your gunned down immediately before you touch a weapon.

I love this mod, find it easler to get a kill with the NZ lag, kinda a challange on the other MW2 mod

Know about that one. Also the RC and explosives. Fixes coming up. By default Betties remain after death and are destroyed on spawn, like claymores. But Freezetag might need one of the settings changed. Will look into that today.

Honestly, play without minimap was a good experience, people are more cautious, not so many run and gun, more strategy, we're really searching enemies and teammates. It was... different :-)

So hard to understand your sentence but i guess i got it.. So for you, there are bullets problems on the Beta ? Are you kidding mate? Absolutly not compare to chicago server where we needed one entiere charger to kill someone. On the Beta, I know that when I fire one only bullet, the bullet gonna touch the enemy where I want. I really feel a positive difference and I know i'm not the only one. And you say it's the contrary? :question: Damn! This is pretty weird... :crazy:

I don't see any problems with shooting on this mod or Chicago. If we were all playing on a LAN, maybe we could really narrow down if there are actually problems with hit boxes, etc., but we play on a server with players from all over the world with pings ranging from 30-300. I think you should just select China Lake and not worry about it, Cobra. ;)

This is just my opinion but the steyer aug is just stupid...we were playing gold islands (or something like that) and I was getting sniped from behind the hill over the other side of the bridge into our spawn, that is all of the way across the map. Keep in mind, that doesn't have a scope. Essentially they were just pointing in the general direction and it was hitting.

 

When the aug snipes better than the swaying sniper rifles, something should be changed. The sway from the snipers should be removed or something changed on the aug. When a weapon is that unbeatable form near and far, why is there a reason to have any other weapons on the server?

IMHO all the weapons are like that in hardcore. You can do the same thing with a pistol. I have been using the SCAR silenced on the beta and it's every bit as good as the Aug IMHO.

Good point. True that many weapons are totally useless.

Just want to post that the problem with the RC and losing nades happens if you activate it before the nade delay finishes after spawn. Which it looks to be 8 seconds for the beta server. Until then you dont actually have the nades yet so there is no ammo or weapon to save. So for now dont do it until the delay is over. Some streak weapons were missing from the delay checks and they will be added to the list so all streaks that can cause death are delayed. UAV etc can still be used immediately.

well i use aug and it doesn;t shoot like that for me mab i just need to be over 100 ping i guess my 60 something must be too low then...still think its amazing how anyone that has over 100 ping can get a jump on some one that is less than 70 is just not rt..i mean i dont get how everyone else is usin aug shootin people one shot kills from one spawn to other but when in close range u shoot someone dead aim and they not even take a hit...this doesnt happen on current version on chicago except with higher ping players..wats the deal with this really?
