I'll stick to my GTX 560 TI (fermi) 2gb SLI. They are as good as the 680 if not better in certain ways until next year then I'm getting a TITAN!

Gotta love the 3-way SLI pic in the photo gallery.  That's 6 power supply connections  and 3 double slots, effectively leaving no room in the system for anything else.  Good thing that most mobos have all the support stuff like audio, networking, and all other interfaces built in.  Undoubtedly you're going to overclock the CPU, too, so the power supply in that puppy's gonna be a big one.  Mr. Fusion Home Nuclear Power Plant sold separately.

Stupid stupid stupid. In Sli the top card will last all of 5 minutes with the stock cooler on it.The bigger the card the more power it will consume and the more Heat it will generate.

These video card manufactures need to come up with some other way of cooling they're cards so we can run dual cards and overclock them a bit without overheating.

Seriously look how close they are.

With most of these cards ingesting air through a fan on the front of the card, I would think it's the bottom two cards that get screwed.  That said, the mfrs of these cards have probably provided enough ventilation through the edges of the card to avoid heat exhaustion.

ALSO, think about it this way:  In a 3-way SLI config, and doing the same job that the typical PC with only one of them bad-boys installed would be doing, each of those 3 cards is performing only 1/3 the work.  Each card is running significantly cooler than a solo card would.  Of course it's not quite that simple.  There's overhead power that's not directly associated with graphics processing and, in adding 2 extra cards, you're probably maxing everything out so that, with some games that can make use of it all, you going where no one card could ever hope to go.  So maybe each card is running half as hard instead of 1/3 as hard.  Still, that's quite a bit less work (heat) per card than one card would be forced to put out.

would love one but believe it or not my 4 year old EVGA 9800 gtx superclock (256 bit back then :P) still does the job backed up by 8 GB Kinston HyperX DDR2 and a Wolfdale OC'd at 3.6 Ghz.....COD runs just fine

think the most I ever paid for a Gaming video card was 360.00, I like to keep them under 250.00

The most I ever paid for a CAD card was 3750.00, ATI I built 2 units for our engineering staff
