Cod4 Ace Mod Possible Changes?

A few thoughts: Spawn Camping has been around for a long time and with a little bit of luck and skill, you can always get out of the spawn eventually(with teamwork). If you can fight your way into a spawn then you should be allowed to stay there until you meet your demise

As far as camping goes, some of us like to snipe, whoever heard of a sniper who runs and guns, Snipers camp.  And it is part of the gameplay.

The bottom line TecHnOBoY is that the clan is dictating the style in which they want their ace mode server to be played. Before this changed happened, was there a vote put together to see how the other members felt about this change? After all, a lot of clan members donate money to this clan to help pay for the servers so I feel we should have a vote before major changes like this are completed. Just my opinion!!!

I feel that there are some great servers out there that have some very nice strategic mods. The problem is they are beginning to disappear what with all the new games. The truth be told the ace is designed by and large as a high speed run and gun mod. I knew @@SABRE that someone would throw my name out there and as I said before this is NOT about me. This was not even my idea, but as @@TecHnOBoY said it was ALL about server traffic and that is all. I mean all in all it's simply a business decision. As for the vote we had before it ended up not being even something the person that set it up had any intention of ever following through with the threat. I personally talked to the person in charge at that time. AND besides my guess is that about 75% of the voters then haven't even played on the ace mod since. I for one was beginning to find other ways to get my recreation and avoiding the ace mod as it was getting so bad. I was one of the ones that Redbull was really getting animated with but he did keep it under control with me. His attitude was such he was basically demanding that everything go back to the way it was and he called that normal. If the current implementations are removed I for one will for the most part continue what I was doing so I simply leave it up to the powers that be and see how things work out. Beers you saying that was not even funny but I won't go there at this time. I love this mod and I see it wasted on strategic players who I believe would be much happier if they had a server to play that style of play in. I have said before I do not have anything against campers as long as they contribute to the overall gaming experience for everybody playing at the time! If not, which is the way its been, then well I know what most other players feel about me and my shaft with two sharp edges on it!

Just go play in the server for awhile and try it out at least, my god people calm down. If you would of read through the whole post you would see that this is just testing some ideas people had.

 

I am also doing a test now too see if people are actually going in and trying out my changes that I make or if you're just reading what you want and posting. Obviously some are just posting and not reading or playing because the camp thing has been off the server since yesterday afternoon central time.

 

Please people when I am trying out new things on a server, actually go in and try it out then comment. If your not gonna try it out then don't comment, because you have no idea how the gameplay is unless you are actually in the game and playing it for a little while.

 

Thanks to the people that played and tested out the changes as I made them over the past couple days.

I played 4 maps last night and it is nice.

 

I like the 4 nades for the launcher and I have enough time to get myself situated on the map when it is a new one..

Can we get rid of the spawn protection wording that comes up in the middle of the screen cause that's all I ever see as I am always spawning. LOL

i have to say I think it's worse now, With invisible spawn protection , people can run up to you and knife you and you can't even see them or be shot, And the campers get to run to there corner with out being seen ,And tube the runners if there's any left playing now,

 

So the only thing that has been done is to kill run and gun,

 

And we still have the light above us like target,

I have to agree with @@LaRSin  .... I was just playing and the people still know where the spawns are and still run to them spraying the spawn or boobtubing it ...The R&G part of this server is gone it's like WTH  if you want to camp go fucking sniping not camp and wait on the few runners we do have as I have said before this server is not watching be the admins like it should be and this telling them 100x to stop spawn camping is nuts !!! Just my 2 cent and ps I am done playing this mess for now........1 more thing is this a R&G server or and camp and hide server aka TDM ???? Just asking????

Rugger can you set ace_protection_msg "0"  to 0 instead of 1?  Or can I do it?  It needs to come out from the center of the screen. This is annoying as hell.

lmfao this is not rocket science boot the spawn campers if they do it again boot them for a week so forth and so on then bann them.i dont want to here thats to harsh we are idiots not the polite and friendly clan..after the first week of temp bann they might get it dont spawn camp....if they dont get it then they dont need to be in the server

@@7toes_ky  here in lies  the problem  we don't have the admins who play this server unless the server has new changes to it then after about a week the admins go back to play freeze tag and I understand why they do this server has become the hell hole of XI sorry to say. The people who camp seam to bitch the loudiest on here so it just goes back to what it was before any changes where made. This has been done more than once and it always goes right back to what it was before so it's almost to the point why make a post to try to help cause it's going to be over looked because th e campers cry to much.   I am sorry if I have hurt anyone feeling but I always say what I think and that's not going to change.

We have several types of players and from what I am seeing is everyone of those types wants things to their advantage. It's not fair to those that works hard to get to someone that just gets back in some fucking corner and shoots from the time they see you spawn until they finally kill you when the 4 seconds is over. Most people when they spawn in takes a few seconds just to get your bearings. Then they decide what they are going to do. By that time the protection runs out and some damn fool has been trying their best to rape them anyway. Then to top it all off they sit there and laugh at you like children and continue to do the same to the next player that spawns in front of them. There are those I hear when in there server complain about being spawn killed and they are the worst offenders. I guess they think that if they distract the ones who's job it is to patrol this then maybe their offenses will not be noticed. I won't mention any names as that would start a riot. Then Rugger installs invisible spawn and it also is 4 seconds and when I all of a sudden appear in front of someone but this time I have the advantage and I surprise the shit out of them and they scream "How the hell did you do that?" I just go on to the next camper! There has been a lot of concern about all this forcing people to change their style of change, yet I have had countless other players tell me I should change my style of play. Now when I say that to them they usually tell me that they don't enjoy anything other style than the way they play. Hmmm so I should change mine but nobody else needs to make any adaptions? Hmmm! All I know is as it is I am really disappointed yet again on making permanent changes for the betterment of the server. My playing time there will be at a minimal since I came here. I was so excited that finally the server was changing for the good. I guess fool me once shame on you but fool me twice shame on me! Have you ever spected a map when the players are all campers? It is the funniest and most boring games you could ever hope to see. The players are all settled into their little nest and not much action so now they are either to move and go look for someone else or simple sit there and do nothing. I have come into games where the action was good but as soon as I cut my first victim they shout get your asses into a corner as Dean is in the house. You will not be hearing that much from now on as I am just simply tired of dealing with the shit of all this crap. I will go back to what I was doing before the changes began to happened then back to the way it has always been. See ya around and hopefully in game but that remains to be determined!
