I have a Nvidia GTX 580 but was thinking of going back to Radeon, i have had so much trouble with the updates for this making my colour scheme go funny, so i had to roll all the way back to June 2012 and make sure i don't make a mistake and update again, but been hearing that Radeon cards make War Thunder run really shitty, anyone playing War Thunder at the moment and running a Radeon card can you confirm or deny it please?

Generally speaking the AMD Radeons have better color and more stable driver releases and the Nvidia's have better performance and more frequent driver updates.

Have had mostly Radeons over the years, my old box has a 5870 in it, works fine.  My newer box has a GTX680 and the laptop has a GeForce GT 650M both work great.

The advantages of Nvidia in professional applications are with the Cuda implementation and I have the advantage of using the OS or Nvidia's web driver on the Mac, so I can switch easily if their web driver does something funky.

I've been running ATI for quite a few years now (9700,9800XT,X800XT,3870*2,5970, 6970*2). I've been happy with them, that's why I stick with them.

I'm waiting to see what the new 8000 series will be like.

Currently I'm running 2 ATI 6970 cards in Crossfire mode and have no complaints with the actual cards.

The problem is the ATI drivers right now. They are playing with them to make the Crossfire performance better, but my secondary card seemed to run at 90% load even without gaming, so I had to revert back to an older driver.

I've been playing War Thunder at 1920*1080 with everything maxed and the game plays great for me (but then I suck at it so it might seem like it's playing great!)
