Fraghouse Invasion, if anyone knows what that is, and Domination. I wasnt in the mood to get online. But it made me wonder why its so hard to get people to play a map or two of another gametype instead of ftag all the time. Why not set the next map in a rotation to be Domination, S&D or something else and the one after that return to Freezetag? Or simply put it to a bit of a vote of sorts and ask an admin to switch it for one map? I will be honest and say playing nothing but ftag in cod4 gets boring. It would be like eating the same food every day. Or watching nothing but the SciFi channel 24/7/365. After awhile you become Alex having your eyes forced open and eyedrops being put in so you cannot look away. Im just curious why that is. Other servers were set up for different gametypes now and then. Say if people wanted to play something else for a couple maps they could all migrate there for half an hour then back when done. Of course it never worked. Is it that people just dont want to play anything else? Or is it simply which server is populated? Sometimes I think the ftag gametype would be better served by not recording any kill or death scores at all. Only defrosts and round wins/loses. But it wouldnt work with having killstreaks. If I'd be bored of ftag (and not of the game itself) I'd just some other server. In my opinion, it would be bad to force tdm/snd upon people who joined the server to play ftag in the first place. We get alot of Walleye in our northern lakes, we call them Pickerel. I actualy just booked a charter out on Lake Erie for them for me and 3 buddies, $150 a piece and gauranteed to catch fish Heres from when my dad brother and me booked a charter a few years back Walleye are my fav eating fish next to perch! Standard game with all the usual MW2 stuff with stock maps. All the files are different so dont copy/paste anything from the main server. One round. Time limit 20 minutes. Score limit 200. No respawn delay. Start spawns. If players want different settings let me know. Or of there are any bugs or server crashes. I dont know if with this gametype rounds are better. One option trying out, on round start no flags can be captured for 30 seconds. So you can spend the time rushing to the middle and fighting over the area until the flags activate without having to worry about your own. Or outflank your enemies to get to their spawn area. Since players are likely to die quickly they will respawn near their own flag and can get it then. Might mix things up in a fun way. Might not. I tried to find other mods too but nothing compares to the absolute gratification of earning and using a kill streak in this mod. Team work adds a lot of joy and a sense of accomplishment. IMO, these two are what make any player tick in this game. Oh yes and of course, the adult in-game voice chat banter is a big part of it too. I have seen people who wander on our server and when they hear familiar voices over and over they grow a sense of familiarity with the regular players. In essence, its our mod, and the culture we promote. I'll tell you, I joined mainly so I could use the !fu commands, Ok maybe not entirely because of that. On that note, can we add !slap or !blame similar to !fu command for non-admin XI members? The mayhem, the silliness, the destruction, the utter chaos and the order that ensues all of the above at the end of each round make it addictive.
