It is an unprecedented and truly once in a lifetime event to witness. I watched this youtube clip from the BBC presenting the reburial on TV. I was really surprised that the actual ceremony was so simple, but the thing that really surprised me is I didn't see any royal family members there. After all, a King is being buried and I know you guys are big on the Royals and all of the accompanying ceremonies. So my questions are: Why weren't there any royal family members there, and why was the ceremony so simple? Is it because he was on the wrong side of the War of the Roses, or perhaps because he killed the princes? I'm just curious. Uk300
 Awards

I figured this was a snub in some way. I'm still amazed at how relatively quiet your press was over this. I have always wondered how legitimate the current royals are. I remember learning about the war of the roses and two princes in history class and have always been interested. I went to high school in a small town called Lake Havasu. It has the distinction of having relocated and rebuilt your London Bridge, complete with a tiny English village (fake) with a Pub (LOL) Anyway, for a time there was a wax museum with historical scenes from your history. Among which was a rather in-depth display and story about the two princes. I remember the finger pointing clearly to Richard III. I was surprised when @@EDD THE DUCK and I toured the Tower of London and the Beef Eater told us they thought they found the bones of the Princes during renovations. I thought, now we will get to the bottom of this. I didn't know the Queen wouldn't authorize DNA testing. It's interesting that the police can't treat this as a possible murder situation and test the bones on their own. How about that! Modern day royals covering up a murder. Just like their ancestors LOL! Fascinating! What can I say, I'm a history buff. Thanks for the info @@Blaze. Ridiculous, the Monarchy in Great Britain has slowly had it's powers eroded for centuries now, not since Charles the first has a Monarch had the power to overrule a British Government but they soon put paid to that by lopping his head off, as i said the Queen is just a figurehead with barely any powers at all, the House of Lords also does not govern our country, anyway Deejaykeg has put you right on the subject in his last post, you should calm down telling Keggy to fuck off and go live somewhere else, i stopped getting my knickers in a twist over the Royal family a long time ago, it's not worth it, there will never be a revolution in Britain, if there ever was going to be a revolution it would have happened centuries ago, if they held a referendum to remove the Royal Family it would be a complete failure, probably a landslide in the Royals favour, people in Britain want them it seems, we have much more to worry about then the Royal Family ie the many so called British subjects who would like to behead us or strap bombs to themselves and blow the shit out of us, the Royal Family shouldn't even raise a ripple on the richter scale after that.
