The hard drive was over worked because of the amount of maps we had in our usermaps folders. With the host backing up the files 3 times a day this caused significant wear on the drive. I have in place now a system with my map guys were we will only have the current maps being used in the map rotation in the user maps folder.

Hard to tell what that particular machine was used for before either.Hdds Might of been taxed a bit to far to begin with.

Well we basically got Haswell cpu upgrade and SSD, the real gain is the SSD. Is the OS running on the SSD? The mechanical 2TB can only support so much bandwidth.

@@Ruggerxi, I am thinking  out loud here, the active maps, lets store them on SSD, and the bulk of the maps on the 2TB mechanical drive. All of COD4 maps that I have, take up close to 16GB on my HDD. So I am guessing for all the COD games and mods 100GB of SSD for active maps would suffice.

In FT? For starters there arent enough objective slots for all the snowflake icons. Both in the HUD and minimap. 16 per team maximum. Try 17 and poof.

I will look into what my options are once we get everything up and sorted. Still have some servers that are not transferring over for some reason.

Just waiting on 3 more servers and everything will be moved.

There are still the time outs when trying to connect but it will clear up after a short period

Yes thanks Rugger for keeping us updated/working on this for us it's appreciated.

Just by way of update I have just been on the Ace Mod Server CoD4 - upon joining a team, scrolling text appears saying the server has moved to: 162.248.95.171:28960 - but on updating my HLSW it is in fact the same server again.

So does this mean it's still in the queue to be moved or it has been moved and the message just needs taken down? If the latter, I assume people are logging on then disappearing again thinking something's up.

Thanks,

RUC

Thanks for the heads up, I have removed the message from the server now. 162.248.95.171:28960 Extreme Idiots Ace Mod is the correct server
