hello all i'm not sure if you've all still got a ark server running if not I've had one setup for a while that me and @ShinyAbsol use to play (rather than non dedicated tethering and all that) if anyone's interested here's the ip address

should probably mention the server isn't XI supported currently running the island

update the server is still up and running with human npc's (hopefully don't run into a problem with that again) and utilities plus so far it runs flawlessly no issues as far as i am aware or been made aware of

I've been playing this server for over a week now and it is pretty fun!  Lots of little adventures, but I pretty much get killed by dinos at every turn!  Haha!

but i think i upgrate my graphic card since, so it might work better.

added another mod called rare sightings you have to have a radio in your tool belt to use it, it'll spawn rare variants of all dinosaurs with higher than normal stats and tell you the rough co-ordinates from your radio

Structures + is a great mod it has so many fetures to help you day to day like pulling from boxes and dinos so no heavy lifting, + all the Stuctures + building items hold more stuff and work much better than the standard versions.

ive been running ark servers since the game hit early access still run 2 now with valguero clustered to Genesis and i couldnt live without structures + is a must in my opinion.

right mods installed so far are as follows

utilities plus

structures plus

rare sightings ( this was turned off for some reason it's on now)

human npc's

the server seems to be running correctly let me know if you have any problems with steam downloading mods as i had quite a while downloading the rare sightings mod yesterday through it 

otherwise the server is up running and without issues as far as i can tell I've loaded into the game and had a quick look around if anyone runs into any other problems let me know i don't intend to add more mods quite yet as the server's ram is only 6gb and it peaks at 7.6gb when starting the server ....ooops but otherwise it goes back to a stable rate when running even with players in however any suggestions would be thought about in the future

 

I've also tweaked a few more server settings hopefully making it a bit more balanced

about the rare sightings mod this will give you unique dinosaurs and better stats however they will be between level 80 and 170 and they are almost comprable to alphas in power (which can also spawn with even better stats albeit a 3% chance)

turned off primal npc's as they are overkill at the minute and have been causing a minor issue on the server  tweaked the server settings for player tamed and wild dinos and tweak a few of the mods settings

Updates to servers are as follows

Balancing of overall gameplay torpor damage health on players and tamed untamed dinos

Rare sightings max level cap increased and overall occurrence time decreased with reports accuracy increased

3 new dinosaurs added I'll leave what they are blank so you can have a surprise

Human npcs home owner chance increased how ever to balance it out the gear they use has also been brought up a little to make it harder to just run in guns blazing

Mod files cleaned up a little to help with loading times and server loads 

Also added a special event dinosaur which again won't be revealed until the event whenever I decide that is I'll just say high level dinos will be required for it but the risk is worth the reward as it's stronger than a titanosaur in terms of brute strength 

 

secondary server added this is primarily a testing server but if my works anything to go by it shouldn't have a whole lot of downtime currently running scorched earth with the same settings as the original minus the new dinosaurs

this may change in the future as i am unsure about whether it's pve pvp or both at this point and whether or not to lift the password restriction on the secondary server 

 

two new dinosaurs added to scorched earth these will both be a surprise but should be considered mini bosses they are how ever tameable and do spawn naturally one spawns in the desert dune look for a mound in the ground and the other spawns only in the mountain area it sticks out like a sore thumb so i don't need to tell you what to look for

 

Feel free to add anything else you may have noticed whether good or bad 

 

also on a side note due to how hard scorched earth can be on new players i've set up a bare bones base for anyone to use at roughly 30,50 on the map

please note the following updates to the servers

for both servers

passwords removed

servers now showing on gametracker

automatic restarts have been added with prior warnings now working

mot'd has changed along with server names

admin tools have been added ingame (working on a rcon system remote and local as i type this)

dino's have been balanced again (mainly for the new once i've put in)

custom special event systems added (won't be implemented just yet as for one there's no event going on and two still in testing)

for scorched earth

no longer running scorched earth this may change at the moment it's running a custom map shigo islands

improved weather mod added

multiple new dinosaurs added

weather radio added (gives reports via radio)

some vehicles added (still in testing)

edit second server is running Ragnarok as both scorched earth and the custom map i ended up dying way to fast mods stay the same except gtdc which is removed
