Bought my son some expensive Sheffield best steel chisels by a well known British tool firm, when we got them, in small print on the box 'Made in China', turns out the name of the UK firm were bought out by a Singapore firm who moved the manufacturing to China. However people are beginning to understand what is going on, they may be cheap but they are cheap, and the money you give to them is being used in aggressive expansion, it's worth the extra money for your own goods - pay it!

You gotta be careful with Canadian Tire... everything is almost always at an "incredible price" and "save 90%" ...

The New Brunswick boarder is closed. If anyone from outside NB enters they have to self isolate for 14 days. Not sure if going to Quebec requires a 14 day isolation. I do know if I leave NB and return I’ll have to self isolate for 14 days.
Crazy Covid-19 has the world all screwed up.
If I did go to Quebec I would drop of some preserves to you and some pretty coloured eggs!

Ok, so being from a different country and all, a place with a name like "Canadian Tire" just makes me wonder all sorts of things when you are buying anything, lets say, hmmm... (<- beers dots here) Not Car Related?

That and I didn't click on this link because Canadian and Pot thing thought it was something else all together originally.

I completely forgot that the NB border was closed. Québec's isn't, but you don't want to come over here right now with this Covid thing... we're considered red zone again, so the restaurants are closed again and we can visit our friends and/or family. BUT, when the borders re-open, never forget that we're neighbours and I miss fresh eggs from my hens ! ;)

I thought that Canada had the metric system? You should have been more careful just by reading the product descriptive: nothing good can goes out of a "marmite de 16 PINTES". N'est-ce pas @AthenA ? :yes:lol:

The giveaway is on the label, there are 2 pints in one quart, so for English readers it holds 32 pints, but for French readers it only holds 16 pints, typical Chinese. I think it only right that you and Athena only get half lol?

Yes Canadian units of measurement are officially metric.
Every store posts costs of meat and produce in metric and pounds. All of our Wooden building products are in inches and feet. Two by fours are just 2 inch by 4 inch, sheets of plywood 4 feet  by 8 feet. All pipe is measured in inches and feet. I worked in an oil refinery for the last 23 years everything was gallons and barrels. At the gas pumps we buy litres. We buy litres of milk and pounds of butter.
in the 1970’s the Liberal government implemented the metric system in Canada. Immediately PRICES ROSE. Why? To pay for the costs of changing to metric.

Sad but true! Vote Liberal, prepare for increased TAXES!
Vote conservative start to have our national dept paid down.

I’m 63 I vote Conservative. I want our government to pay down the dept. I have to pay my bills, Why do Liberals feel they can just keep increasing the national dept. As it stands my granddaughter’s future has been mortgaged by our past and present Liberal governments. Every single time a government Liberal or Conservative introduces a SOCIAL program.......gives money to someone or some group that is a firm of MORTGAGE.

Someone has to pay for all these giveaways. That someone is the middle class.
Canada will never be out of dept, SAD.

End of Rant

The metric system is easy, but for shopping it's shit, bring back the bushel and farthing I say.
