If you're PC is older, chances are it won't support the TPM 2.0 requirement.  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/what-is-tpm-705f241d-025d-4470-80c5-4feeb24fa1ee

I am still running Windows 11 Pro version 21H2 when it first came out on at 4th gen Intel. I did it as an upgrade option however at that time there was a an instruction you could add to the registry to tell the installation to ignore TPM.  This bypass seems to no longer work as it did before, I've tried installing 23H3 in more than one way and no go so I'm stuck at 21H2 with no further updates since 21H2 is no longer support. Seems only option is to upgrade my PC that supports TPM.

update on hold i see. so far Win 11 is not as stupid like rest of OS on hardware connection  just software of thrid party having issues with game apps not liking 2 computers on same network and the windows door is stiil on task bar so not worry. just surcurity is very loosie to me  for they tie everthing with MS or Google on your digital print online or Cell phone (andriod) GEENI cams want your router access!

Error code 0x80240438 is a Windows update error that can occur when the security programs in the system block the updates, considering them a threat falsely1. Here are some troubleshooting methods that can help you resolve the error code 0x80240438 on your system2:
Turn off Windows Defender Firewall
Disable IPv6
Run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter
Clear Windows Update Cache
Reset the Proxy Connection Via Command PromptIf the error is due to a Windows Update that has failed, you can download the Windows Update and install it manually3. If you still can’t download an app using Windows Store, try resetting Windows Store cache4.

Dam leave me alone you greedy bastards  ...surcurity  eah

Still a work in progress now to get the games loaded

I installed 23H2 on my wife's laptop last week and from a day to day use standpoint, don't really see any difference than to the 21H2 I'm still using.

I used the TPM registry hack on an Intel 6th generation to install Windows 11 22H2, only works using the iso to install, will not work with installation assistant. Since 23H2 is the same file structure as 22H2, was able to update to 23H2 through Windows update. When installing with the iso image I was not able to keep most programs, had to do a clean install.

Ah, ya, maybe I did a clean install the first time running the iso from USB.  Don't recall for sure but that may very well be the case.  So to go forward again, may have to do a clean install and then re-install everything again.  arg... damn TPM requirement

Really don't want to spend the $ on upgrading PC components if I don't have to.  I play mainly the older COD games and my internet is direct wireless so really won't benefit from a newer PC in that respect.  Trying to keep up with Windows is a bigger problem.

Thanks for the feedback.

Read the fine print...

This version is designed for PCs that need a new license for Windows and meet the minimum system requirements for Windows 11. If your PC is running Windows 10 and you are unable to use Windows Update to install the free upgrade to Windows 11, you will not be able to install this version of Windows 11.

Microsoft is blocking Windows 7 and Windows 8 keys from activating a copy of Windows 11.

If you swap out a motherboard even if it is for the same CPU but has a newer chip-set your Key is FUBAR. Recently Found that out when I swapped out my old AMD X470 motherboard for a AMD B550 motherboard.

I had a legit Win 8.1 key that I upgraded to 10 and then 11. Changed motherboards and it would not re-activate. It was either buy another key or use that free KMSpico Activator which can activate all keys from win 7 to win 11. It's an Installable Patch that can simply be uninstalled if need be. Windows Defender does not want you to download or install it.

You will most likely have to download it directly to a USB thumb drive to install it because Win Defender will try to delete the EXE. And after installing it you will have to create an exception in Win defender for KMSpico.exe because it will bitch about it every time you start your PC.

Fuck Microsoft and there non transferable installation keys. lol back in the day you could modify Win2000 installation disk and make it a Volume License media which would install on any PC without a key. The good old days lol.

I had to install 23H3 because I was no longer getting updates and stuck on 21H2 because my PC is older and doesn't meet the hardware requirements.

I just did a clean install of Win11 23H2 last night with no issue using Rufus, https://rufus.ie/en/ also available in the Microsoft Store. The Rufus too worked pretty slick. Just download the Windows 11 ISO from the Microsoft site, https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows11 and run the Rufus tool, and it will do the rest.  Just need a large enough USB drive.
