Weighing in at 0.05 to 0.07 ounces, with a head-to-body length of 1.14 to 1.29 inches and a wingspan of 5.1 to 5.7 inches, the bumblebee bat—also known as Kitti’s hog-nosed bat—is the smallest mammal in the world, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Same here... I was a pain in the ass as a kid because I was constantly asking questions. I'm not talking about asking others questions, they got tired of that fast. I was a pain in my own ass... I kept asking myself questions. Took a long time to start getting the answers I was looking for. Hence part of my pain in the ass personality and why I usually sound so interested. Because I am. I've been doing lots of research out here where I live. If you're interested I think I can show you how I'm sitting on a time capsule and I have a good idea how it was formed but I'm missing lots of specifics.. when and what order of events. What I've found though in rock just fascinates the shit out of me. I spend hours going through dirt at a time in the Wash where the cliffs have broken off and I'm careful to look at everything as I dig though these large chunks of earth never exposed to anyone ever and I get to see it for the first time. The rocks won't be there long because if Monsson are heavy it will all wash away down the rest of the foot hills. So I have to work fast and I'll never get to it all as it's just impossible. That means I'm going to miss something special. Though more will be coming and if I wanted I can find it all over but I only touch what nature gives me that I know will wash away. I leave even the natural rock gardens on my property no touch zones. It's just freaking gorgeous the way it is left natural. The Killer Bees out here... I have been studying them. They're freaking cool. I hang out with them at a water hole I give out and once a clan gets use to me they are super cool. I let them climb on me and I can show you what I learned about them this spring and Summer when they come around. So many kinds I am finding but one clan or tribe or hive will stick around and hold guard of my water hole I leave out. I want to capture one event I did last year. Last year a killer bee got in my cabin and that is rare since I leave water out. So I go and get him on my hand and take him outside to show it were the water was. When I reached down to place it on the edge of the water tray two other killer bees instantly attacked it and it flew off. Then I understood this hive.. I call a tribe, keeps the other bees away. I was stung 5 times my first year hear and until I started leaving water out I was going to continue to get stung. I keep my tribe happy is why. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Otherwise a Fun Fact for today is Color Blindness in some color blinded folks. Not talking about Anti Racists.. talking about folks who have a problem seeing colors. If that person can see well at night better than most people, there's a reason why. Their colorblindness is because they see part of the InfraRed Spectrum. Richard (84 years young 1 mile away neighbor is color blind. I asked him, "do you see good at night". He says, "I see real good at night." Then I explained why. He thought that was so freaking cool and it helped him understand why he was different. Precisely for this reason the role of her so important to her is very jealously guarded. In the event that more queen bees are born, the two will face a deadly battle to determine the future ruler.
