    New Truck

after waiting for nearly 2 months, my new Tacoma arrived this past Saturday. First vehicle that I ever ordered. Has everything that I wanted in it, no more, no less...including the color and interior seat trim

    Gettysburg

Recently, I've heard several players mention that they want to visit Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, USA. If you have never been to Gettysburg -- or haven't visited in many years -- I highly recommend that you go. Fortunately, I live close by and frequently visit. Whether you make a day trip or a weekend out of it, there are plenty of places to stay, shops, restaurants, etc. I have some personal tips to offer, for what it's worth: - Try to schedule your trip in the spring or fall when the weather is warm. Gettysburg is packed with tourists during the summer months, and it's not very fun being out on the battlefield in 90 degree heat. - I highly recommend going to the "new" Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center. The museum has a large display of Civil War relics. I also recommend you watch the film A New Birth of Freedom in their theater, then move on to see the cyclorama. - Don't pay for a guided tour. It's really unnecessary as the signage and monuments are fairly self-explanatory. From time-to-time, you will come across a guided tour in progress and you can eavesdrop on the guide's lecture. - When you self-guide your way through the battlefields ... drive. You can stop, park and walk throughout the entire area. It's way too big to walk. - Visit the National Cemetery. Walk among the graves of the KIA and read their headstones. It makes you think. - Check out the shops and restaurants along Steinwehr Ave and around the downtown circle. You'll find a place that you'll enjoy. Trust me. - Finally, (if you have the time) a fairly short drive into southern Washington County, Maryland, will take you to Antietam Battlefield. For you military history buffs, along the way you can pass by and see Site R (PA Route 16), old Fort Ritchie and Site C above (MacAfee Hill Rd, Cascade, MD), Camp David (Park Central Rd Catoctin Mountain Park), and wind your way further south through Sharpsburg and onto Antietam. Just some friendly tips. Enjoy your trip! https://www.nps.gov/gett/index.htm

  9. I would like to start off by saying that picture from Angus brought back fond memories of the 2017 XI fest in Canada and a chuckle. Secondly, I want to say that it was a pleasure to meet you and hang out for a while. Finally, unlike the others who have posted here, I will translate my wishes into Canadian for you: Happy Birthday Eh!!! Best wishes Eh!

  12. Been shooting the same Ruger 10/22 standard since I was 18. Cleaning it with stiff brass cleaning brushes and GI bore clean solution, and the rifling still looks like new. I like the pull throughs, but if mine can survive 37 years of use, feel confident yours will too.

    New Knife

I agree, that knife stays on my desk for opening letters. Bone handle toothpick is my daily carry during mailing & printing. Knife on the top was a freebie from the NRA, and it got used as screwdriver, wedge, chisel, and general abuse tool. My old Buck 110 was my daily carry when I farmed, but it's a bit clumsy for the mailing department. Sent it back to Buck when the spring got too loose, and they rebladed it during their 50th anniversary. Red handle Bear is my walkabout carry knife, too pretty to abuse @ work, but I enjoy having it on me.

  42. I’m in. I guess I have to say USA but I identify as Dutch Mafia. I’m also Muskogee Creek so there is that issue to deal with and while I am a man I do enjoy the company of women and have spent copious amounts of time “in” a woman’s body. I was also engaged to a Jewish girl and attended a couple of Seder’s. Come to think of it I feel like most of you aren’t Americans at all just interlopers from other continents that came here and stole our land. With all of that in mind it will be not only insensitive but also racist, anti-Semitic and misogynistic to exclude me and restrict my ability to pick my own team. To summarize I am FUNky, one of the only true Americans and I choose to play all maps and I will switch teams depending on what I identify as each round. I appreciate your compliance without the need to involve the ACLU, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League.
