Not sure if there're any Muslim members here in Xi, still felt like wishing a Happy Eid to all the Muslims around the world. There are lock downs around the globe due to covid-19. I can imagine it must be hard to not to be able to go to Mosque and pray. For those who don't know; Eid al-Fitr means "festival of breaking the fast" and marks the end of month of Ramadan. Traditionally, Eid is celebrated for three days in all Muslim-majority countries. As the fasting month of #Ramadan comes to an end. Stay bless stay humble, -BB "Fyi" I'm not Muslim.

Thanks @babyback for the wonderful wishes. I just got done with the first Eid day. It was nice (not as much fun as a usual Eid but we did make the best of it). Good food, family time, drove around to distribute Eid Goodie Bags for kids, tried to get some Eid day charity done. Had our usual prayers for peace and prosperity for all. Especially protection for all from this Corona menace. Also prayed for more idiocy among our XI family. Not sure if it was the right thing ?

I've recently resolved this issue. Only posting incase it helps anyone else. I kept having this weird lag over the past month or two. Cod4 over all just seemed choppy. Did not seem to matter witch server it was on. Stock or Mods had no effect on over all lag that I was experiencing. Every 2 or 3 seconds the game just seemed to pause for a split second. I've attached is 2 demos of my game play. It shows a little of what is was doing. However, sometimes it would get much worse on full servers. For instance XI server, where there is a lot going on in the map when the server was full. That being said. I ended up thinking back to what has been installed. Cod MW 19. Thought maybe when It asked me to update my video driver, that maybe the new driver conflicted with cod4. No Roll back available.. Uninstalled the driver and restarted my pc. Seemed to run a lot better. Next day. Lag was back. Repeated the process. Lag gone... Later returned. Fu#%ing annoying at this point. Ended up uninstalling the driver, along with GeForce Experience. Reinstalled GeForce Experience. Let it choose the recommended Driver. And.. That was it. The lag is gone. Literally every aspect of my graphics is better. Down to the sharpness of the text/font. I'm not sure if there has always been an issue. The over write from the driver update when I got COD MW 19. Not quite sure. That seemed to been when it all started. Ha! I assume you mean the trip lasers. FF mines is an option. *IF* the clan decision is to turn FF on. I remember playing a server that had it. Does require a team that works together and informing each other where they are so as to stay away. Though it might make some unhappy even more than friendly fire itself. Strictly speaking though... one could argue that mines are smart and use IFF codes. Anyways... Beta 3 uploaded as a new server mod and new download. All but one of the files are different so better to do it this way. Its late, tired, and have to get up very early for work. So I will post an update log tomorrow after work. Main things: Rocket gun sidearm. C4 should now be available. Frozen bubble and hud elements should be removed on death, overtime or spectate. Rounds increased to best of 7. Various other fixes. Pretty confident that the rotation should be good but cant promise it. I am hoping this takes care of all significant issues except for tweaks or minor code patches and such.

First off the Member Shop menu is on the top right of the website, if you click on it you can see somethings you can buy if it says unavailable then you don't have enough points to buy it. If you like to get free points the way to do it is take advantage of the interest >XI< is giving you if you put your points in the bank for a month. The higher rank you are in >XI< the higher the interest rate is. Thanks @babyback. I had a great Eid day considering. Typically we would've friends family visiting us, exchange gifts and sweets, this year it was more virtual hugs and sending gifts via mail.

As for feeling like the other server, many people want it that way so TBH I can't win and in this case whether or not the usual settings like running speed should be transferred or different is a discussion among all of you. Same with FF. Some of you want it some dont. Get together, make your cases, and decide. Same thing. Whichever way it goes one side will be unhappy. i suppose kill power is down for those that used the nooby saritch as a crutch.

Doing my best today to get the next update up and running for Memorial Day. Among the various fixes etc etc... the rocket gun is in. Will need some good gameplay testing to find the right balance for it as a sidearm. Not too good. Not nerfed. The goal is to make it fun, new, but not overwhelming or pointless.

Are you going to keep friendly fire on? I shoot at anything that moves so I guess I won't be playing if it stays on......

More or less wanted to import maps for COD4. Maybe some Medal of Honor stock maps, or Delta Force: Blackhawk Down stock maps. From the short reading I've done this morning, Medal of Honor may not be that hard? Seeing as they're both .map files? Blackhawk down on the other hand seems to be BMS/MIS file format? Im sure there's more to it than.. But, that's just what I came across so far from Google search.

Haha, ya not that simple I'm afraid. I'm just working on COD5 maps for now. Very time consuming and lots to learn as far as methods and tips for creating structures to terrain. Depending on what game you are looking to do something for, our downloads section has a number of tools for this. Actually, the old sound had some good distance as well and the new one is meant to be the same. However I will double check. Will run further tests on streaks but thus far havent seen it here. Checked combat medic time and I think you are right. Will work on it. If everyone wants to try it, just to see, I can up the rounds for best 4 of 7. The explosive car is 1.5 times player speed. The defroster car 2.0. edit: unfreeze sound is 1.5x of the older one. Will adjust it.

I think both have their merits. Like Kenmen says going from 3-4 rounds down and coming back to win 5-3/5-4 is always great fun. Sometimes long drawn out maps are awesome. On the flip side some maps do seem to take forever. I know we have had the !dislike command running for a while, maybe the most popular large maps could be left at 9 and less noteworthy ones set lower? Not sure how much extra work this would be on our poor admins ? Maps like coldfront/overgrown/hof_junkyard/tigertown for example that never seem to get skipped or votes called on them should be kept at 9. I do think 7 should be considered seriously as middle ground. @Sammy Does the mod have a vote function at all? I have played a lot of other servers in the past where you were able to vote on the next map between rounds. Just wondering if something similar could be done here? Have a predetermined rotation but vote on the number of rounds 5/7/9. Something like 6-8 seconds would probably be enough if it was possible.
