That one is a cause of a shortage of future supply. Markets adjusting for future shortages. Only when its an oil producing country at war again causes a supply issue and that one is imediate. That one is played out in the markets. You can reproduce any of those results in so many different ways. Saying its a politicians fault of they started a war to make oil money is not quite true. Those are repercoussions of actions. Not causes. The only thing I can tell you is when things get corrected prices will drop but not all the way . Greedy greedy people. Oil santions to Russia will cause a lot of harm but only till China takes all the oil Russia has to offer. On the other Hand I live in Canada a oil rich country but we pay American cost per barrel. And supply and demand kicks us hard always. Opec just announced they are going to produce more oil so next week thasy say prices should drop 15 cents a liter supply and demand.1 point -

My VIkings are in that situation now, we paid Cousins a shit load of guaranteed money and now we don't have money for anything else. We're always in the middle of the pack so we don't get a high enough draft pick to get the great players coming out of college that we don't need to pay an arm and a leg for. So we're stuck just being a mediocre team that might get into the playoffs as a wildcard team and just loose in the first round. I'm excited about the new coach though. Zimmers time has been over for a couple years now. Lets see what the new staff can do.1 point -

Not pissed I would say SHOCKED is more like it but he is a GREAT QB but each off-season for the past several seasons it has all been about Russ and his Money, the O line, letting him throw the ball more, trade me to these 4 teams etc. He can't run as well or as much as he used to and I guarantee that after next season the folks in Denver will hear him asking for a new contract even though when he signed his current deal he was the top paid QB. Don't get me wrong he is a HOF QB when his career is over but we needed to get younger and we will suck for a few years but at least we got something in return for a great player, team mate, leader, member of the community but all that comes with a ton of "I am not loved, respected protected" DRAMA. I suspect that we will have a few other players leaving before the draft.1 point -

I am not sure where you got your degree in economics for it’s all about supply and demand. Federal, state or provincial taxes do play their roll but it’s doesn’t stop any one from driving to work every day. If it was all based on regulation and government then please explain why gas, oil prices increase during the summer driving months and typically drop in the winter. Explain why natural gas prices sky rocket during the high demand cold winter months and then drop in the warm summer months. Why during the first few months of the pandemic no one was traveling including air travel and the gas prices dropped to almost 25-30 year low? Of course geopolitics play a large part for it threatens a market that is typically volatile at any time. Hell, if there is some natural disaster prices jump. A war involving Russia of course prices will jump specially since they are a large market in the EU. We haven’t even got into the geographical aspect of oil costs. Canada is a small market, we roughly have the same population as California but are the second largest country in the world. Do you here in Alberta we just warp over fuel to pumps in Manitoba? There are costs to and yes you are correct, Canada has higher than average North American taxes. There are costs to universal healthcare. Try arguing taking that away from the majority of Canadians.1 point -

Were petrol prices not getting bad during covid anyways? The situation in Ukraine has only added a few cents for me here in Australia. Think we are averaging about $1.85 which is still maybe the highest ever. Trouble is that it never seems to go back down regardless of the temporary reason it goes up.1 point -

sAying shit about the russians on the price of gas here is very funny. In Canada its 175 and change a liter. WOW but our price is based on the cost of a us barrel of oil. Now if teh american oil companies need some say extra cash all they do is shut down a refinery for a month say its for matience and that price shoots up 25 percent. There is alot going on in the price of gas in Canada but the greedy price increases is all American .1 point -

Unbelievably- & the narrative to which I shall heretofore adhere- is that this is a brief 'it get's darker before the light'- explosion of my yearly winnowing process of unused 'stuff' that is deemed detritus. When bananas go black, that's when they are perfect for banana bread; it means the starches inside have properly converted to sugars; the resulting banana bread is orders of magnitude superior in flavor, sweetness & nuance than 'yellow' bananas. When I choose to 'get some pussy' this occurs without the female ever coming to my humble abode & therefore preempts any requirement of seeing it 'in my house'. Sitting in my car, occasionally looking menacing is part of my day job. Any drugs I may consume are at home, after a day's hard work; this facilitates resetting my disposition & keeping those whom I may encounter during the next day's itinerary from a much-needed ass whooping, if their actions would normally so merit. There are few things more worthy of pixilated memorialization than my magnificent Adonis-like corporeal being bedecked in my bespoke wardrobe, assembled from unreproachable sartorial sensibilites!
