Been researching drones for quite awhile and finally pulled the trigger. I think seeing some of the member videos and photos helped speed things along in my buying process ? Went with the DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo. Was simple enough to get setup with the controller and airborne in a little over an hour. First flight I sent over my neighborhood then on the edge of the interstate... pretty sure you can't fly over them I could be wrong. Regardless, I hit the home button and it was ascending to heaven. Not sure if it was trying to catch up with the Webb Telescope or what, but I had to steer it back manually. All-in-all, an exciting initial flight...

Do I have to register DJI mini 2? If you have a sub-250 gram drone like the Mini 2, you'll only need to register if you plan on using it for commercial operations. Any drone registered for commercial operations, in case you're wondering, can be flown recreationally (meaning you don't need to register it twice).May 7, 2021
