Same era lol I played Quake 3 Team Arena with my old laptop hooked to my TV just this last weekend. Looks similar to a couple maps on there. Had a blast playing that goofy old game. I do need to get better controllers though. My 2 antique Gravis Game Pads are in pretty bad shape. My brother and me played against bots on split screen on Nightmare Difficulty and we got our asses kicked pretty bad because my controllers are very unresponsive. They have been taken apart and the contacts cleaned with a pencil eraser to many times. lol

It's less obvious with more experienced players and people running a macro as the telltale flick is less noticeable.

Strafe jumping is NOT allowed at all, I understand that the original rule was worded that way so that it could be easily proven that someone has Strafe jumped to a place that a standard jump would not reach. But the fact is Strafe jumping is NOT permitted in any form on our servers. And as you can see in the video that @Blazehas posted it is pretty obvious when people are doing it

It gives you an unfair speed advantage, makes you jump alot further and makes you much harder to hit. Pretty sure that's considered Unsportsmanlike Conduct by it's very definition. We are more like a Gaming Community and not a Competitive Gaming clan. Rapid Fire binds and Pro Mod Configs and Jump Mod binds all give an unfair advantage to everyone else playing on the servers. And crap like that tends to piss people off and empties the servers. Just play the damned game. If ya can't play without some sort bullshit cheat or modded config or fancy binds to get an advantage maybe you should find another server or game to play.

Well, I managed to get the boxes moving throughout the warehouse on this conveyor, pretty damn cool. I might add some more detail but the heli paths, loading screen, and minimap are still a pain in the ass. so, I might try to get them done here soon to make sure I don't go over any limits. It gives a speed boost and allows farther jumps. It isnt an intentional component of the game and it can be used to gain an unfair advantage and allows players to jump to places they wouldn't normally be able to.

Is this a Steam game install or from CD? If from CD, did you install the patches?

My CoD 4 crashed. I re-installed it and when trying to Join a server, that screen is totally empty. It does not show any servers at all. When I type in XI freeze tag server info into favorites, I get a message stating this is already a favorite server. I can not get any servers, but more importantly I cant get any XI servers at all. I keep getting the same reply, Already a favorite server but nothing but an empty screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated........However PLEASE remember that I am an old man and very computer illiterate!! so help must be dumbed down for the Idiot!! THANK YOU
