Yes Grange is an old problem. The heli streak pickups on top of the building are causing a conflict. The cause is that some weapons mappers build into their maps conflict with the custom versions (new rifle models etc). No way around that except to delete all the pickups while the map loads. A fix should have taken care of that but didnt it seems so I will test that again,

 

Anyways, the string problem looks like there are possibly too many of them. So will be going through to see what I can remove or alter that isnt noticeable or doesnt hurt gameplay. Several large mods have suffered from this in the past and its a matter of trial and error to get under the limit.

the map finished 5-0 or 4-1 or 3-2 ...but actually ends... who arrive first at 3.. and game over...I think it is better as setting same Chicago server.... who arrive first at 5...

I really like the mod, but.. I like the old crossbow better :) That's my only downside to the new version, it plays really well.

I have heard the same thing about the crossbow...personally, I love some of the new weapons but the two complaints I hear most are that the old crossbow is gone and the sniper rifles sway badly again.

 

Otherwise, I love the new mod...great job Sammy and Rugger!

Sway is one of those things that go from server to server and the best thing to do is put it up for a vote. Can be made either way in the mod with some file swapping. Same with the Crossbow but does require some other changes in the code since it would no longer be explosive.

 

Anyways, there is a problem in that the mod was pushed too far in terms of strings. So going through and making changes to avoid that problem and will get an update to Rugger as soon as I can.

Forgot to ask.... opinions on the Betty. Worked to get the timing and damage down so where its an effective claymore replacement. Personally I think its much cooler than a claymore.

Only got a few minutes in killing Pete yesterday, tested a few weapons, seems almost ready to go. Love the Crossbow and of course the SkillCannon will have to test those today!

updated mod was uploaded this morning, can we give this another round of testing today please and report back here again with errors.

 

Also I upped the speed of the RC car I think, can you have a look and let me know

 

Pete was racing around in the car yesterday, might have erred on the side of too fast, guessing he can/has provided feedback.

I've always been a claymore hog, so my test would be a good one. I like the betty's. They seem to be an adequate replacement. Even better in some cases, since it's not directional like a clay, but proximity. I really like them.

for the sniper rifles, would like them to be just like the original game. in chicago the rifles r far too varied. the ma1200 best by far, no steady need no sway whereas the intervention just sucks donkey dick. having them like or near original game would be good. do they still need to be set like projectiles meaning u cant shoot thru anything?

a sniping tip would be to type /+holdbreath in console for an autosteady.

That is not a bug and part of the stock game during sudden death in all gametypes. In such cases after the 'death' animation is done the player is forced into spectator view. Server options allow for specing high above the map but frozen in the center, above the map and free-move, or watching living players in 3rd person. So as always it depends on what people want. :rambo:

for the specing during sudden death request u can only spec ur own team, if thats not already the case.

Forgot to add about Betty, as in MW3 ( and WAW?) quick prone can either reduce or prevent damage. Yes specing your own team is the stock function and has not been changed. The only time you can cycle through all players if you are are a specator and have not joined any team. The server config settings for G13 are like this for spectators I believe. Or is that one only top-down view? Probably FFA will do all players also assuming it has sudden death for it. Ive never actually tried but I dont see why not.

Yea. String buffer problem. Next update fixes that but I dont think Rugger has uploaded it yet.

I'll second that. Please help test things as much as possible, the more players the better, to push the mod and spot any problems. Some things just dont show up unless there are a lot of people at the same time. Just FYI, noticed today ambient emp had a problem if the round ended while the minimap was disabled. A fix will be included soon.

hi Sammy... sory but is a bug.... after I died..ice bubble disadppeare around me..and my mate has nothing to thaw...anybody of the fallen ..no ice bubble...and then can be spectators and teammates and the enemy...

My opinion is :spectate Player OF...ty very much ...and i appreciate you work...

Kickin's input:

XBOW ISSUES - I agree with the other guys about the non explosive, 10 shot arrows XBOW is better.

I figured out the problem though, YOU MADE IT TOO AWESOME!!! Goin back to the 2 shot explosive one is like "MEH". Dont care for the delay, prefer the instant kills.

The XBOW is my weapon of choice, with a machine gun. I am not thrilled that the mod on Chicago is goin away ...

 

I actually chose NOT to play and do some stuff around the house this morning since every1 was on SRV2 (UGH, Reg maps!) and Chicago was empty.
