I can't believe what i see when reading the news about the temperatures in some parts of the US and Canada...How do you guys survive that ?  :dizzy:

Meanwhile in Europe the weather is very mild ( 55 fahrenheit this afternoon in Paris ) I had to slow down the heaters at home.....

-35 °C with windchill today with 4 foot snow drifts covers parts of roads last couple of days.  Dress warm, it's a tad nipply.

Monday was tough here -18 and wind chill of -46.   Today It really warmed up and made it to + 2 for an hour or two but wind chill was -15.  Good news we will see it warm up to +12 tomorrow.  After Monday that felt like a heat wave.   Yea you just bundle up and deal with it.

You havent experienced cold unless you've lived on the Canadian prairies like here in Alberta or next door in Saskatchewan and Winterpeg..  -52 was the coldest it has gotten so far this winter in my town and that is with the wind chill.. You cant imagine -38 outside and then on top of that, the wind is blowing 50mph.

This is when we unplug the deep freeze to save power and throw all the food outside to freeze :ermm: ...

It when people have to chisel there dogs off the fire hydrants :( ...

Its when your snowman is begging to come inside to warm up  ...

When the house catches fire you stay inside to keep warm  ...

This is when people look forward to having a fever  ...

When its this cold you have to break the smoke off your chimney  ...

Its when the hookers are charging $20 just to blow on your hands  ...

Ok, i will quit now....

But, at least global warming is real.....sigh!!!

Make sure your fuel tank is 3/4 full or better, add some gas line anti-freeze or fuel conditioner to your tank before you have problems. Always pack a cell phone walking or driving in cold temperatures.  There is a neat little device that you can buy at most automotive stores, it is called an oil-pan heater. It's basically a magnetic element that sticks to your oil pan and warms the oil for faster, easier starting. Works great in very cold temperatures with or without a block heater.

East coast Canada we are getting everything. The most snow that I have seen in December in about 10 years, temperatures in the -25c and we had a major ice storm that took out power for a week. After all the snow we get 20 - 30 mm of rain and + 12 c and 24 hrs later it drops back to -20c, what a mess lol.
