Those apply to ANY firearm in your home, whether you have children or not. By the way, a quick online or 8 hour in-person training class at the range does NOT qualify as training. Neither does shooting static paper targets and tin cans in a field a couple of times a year. I don't know what your professional background and training is related to firearms, but mine is extensive. I recommend the Glock for my aforementioned reasons as it comes in many sizes (some adjustable for grip), calibers, concealment capabilities, reliability and ease of basic maintenance. I am by far from being a "Glock fanboy", but I've been issued and trained many different models and calibers over nearly 30 years. The fact is that they work for whatever the intended purpose. I own MANY different makes/models/calibers of handguns, long guns and shotguns, but I can personally attest to the effectiveness, reliability and ease of use of a Glock in deadly force encounters, particularly under stress (and after real world training). No personal offense, but anyone that leaves a firearm accessible to an infant, toddler, juvenile or untrained adult under any circumstances probably shouldn't own one in the first place. Awards
