New Version of Portal and Demo Manager

Yesterday I launched the new version of the XI Portal, this has been my pet project this lock-down to learn new technologies and try and keep sane (it has not worked 100% effectively). 

The XI Portal is usable by registered users, members and admins. It is geared towards monitoring our servers and sharing information so there are lots of hidden features only available to the admin team (such as player manager, banning, etc.).

I have especially enjoyed working on player and map tracking which is now visible on a server details page:

 

It is also possible to download the map files directly here if you have any issues getting them from the server.

There is a new version of the Demo Manager to work with the new portal. The Demo Manager is supported by COD2/4/5 and allow easy setup of keybinds for recording and the ability to share demos with the relevant admin team. The latest version is in the download section on this website. You will need to uninstall the previous version before installing and configure it with the 'auth key' that can be retrieved by logging into the portal.

Hope it is of some use, either way I have learned allot of new tools, technologies and techniques so am happy. 

Now onto the next project...

That it is a map?.. it's just colour coding, if we are talking about the map timeline?

I've believe I've installed the new version of the demo mgr.  A couple things to possibly consider if you make additional changes.  On the 'date' sort, can it bet set up to sort by year/month/day order.  When I want to view the 'latest' demo's the 2019 and 2020 get mixed together.  Not sure if others would want this or not.   Also when I select the download/play the demo, it try's to play the demo however it gives an error , 'not found' .. however if I go into the demo manager and rename it after the download by just removing the extension, then it'll play.  Not sure if that is fixable or not or if it just me.   Thankyou for a great job on it however... I like it

Note the 'double' extension.. possibly remove the extension from the download and COD will append it when it attempts to play ?

Demos are only visible to the uploader and the admin team for that game. Demos can be managed (e.g. deleted) by the uploader or a head admin of the relevant game.

Admins see everything for their game type. non-admins only see what they have added.

Yeah moderator and admin permissions are fairly different. Up to the head admins how they want that aspect to work.

Looks like the 'testers' never actually tries running a demo!

I will take a look at this but yeah looks like there is an issue with the name containing the extension.

Yes there were no permissions on there previously..

Hey Duc.  The file name looks good after download from remote and plays as is intended.  Thanks for fixing this.

@Sitting-Duc- Just tried it and it downloaded and played just fine.. I also noticed that the 'demo file size' doesn't appear to be populating(?) - they all show 0.   Not that big of a deal for me, but just fyi.  Again thank you for a great job !!  (See screen shot - file size to the far right side.

Sorry yeah didn't spot that. I have added a fix, next time you run the demo manager it should prompt you to update.

I didn't clock this part before. The ordering on the client is done by the specific component so although it can be extended it's probably not worth the effort.

I have changed the server side so it returns the demos to the client in date time order (newest at the top). That should help with what you want.

@Sitting-Duc   ,  I personally like the change you made with the 'newest at the top sort order' , makes it much easier for me to find the more current 'talked about' demo's.   I also noticed the file size now populates- again thank you    Great Job!
