This is an FYI for those who have Nvidia Graphics cards. When downloading drivers from Nvidia, they now install the DHC drivers by default. The DHC drivers do not install the control panel with the driver, it has to be installed through the Microsoft Store (glitchy and doesn't work well). To install the Standard driver, click on "beta and older drivers" and you will be given the option to install the Standard drivers.

For myself, it's that I find other games to play really. Nothing else than that. I dedicate most of my time to CoD2 if I am not off playing something else in my extensive steam library or other platforms I have. I still come onto CoD4 MWF2 FT every now and then though for a good laugh depending who is on or the map being played.

Wait till you get to higher level stuff on that game. You won't hear the end of trash talk and personal attacks.

Halfway through every single download of a new map, the download speed resets to 12KB/sec. This means one has no chance of joining the game in progress. The final file in the sequence often fails to download at all so one has to restart ones machine. I am getting seriously p*ssed off with this... And you wonder why nobody is visiting??

Hmm DEEJAY you calm down now and have a tea to two hate to lose another this year. I wonder a few things here. SO lets try some things out and I'm sure we can narrow it down for you. Do I remember you telling us your ISP kinda sucks Hows that doing these days ? If you have two computers in the house even a tablet thats on your network. Can you try to connect to a server with your computer and when it goes down to 12 kbs get on the second and do a speed test for me. Also does this happen on all our COD 5 servers could you try them out for me please . Even try on somebody else cod5 server to connect see if it fails. I ask all this because all of XI cod5 server redirect lines are the same. Very little complaints about the connection. Some but after they let us know and they try the disconnect and reconnect everything seems fine. This does not mean its us or your ISP you may also have a bad ethernet card, Video card issue or bad WAW file somewhere causing the game to reject the site you are downloading from. So when a problem occurs and you lose connection for just a second the master server just sends you to the game server to get the file. The game server to help with bandwidth spikes keeps all downloads slow very slow . Its designed that way so players who are playing do not get lag issues. We have to find out whats doing that.
