7 hours ago. The city of Bucha just to the North West of Kyiv was completely liberated from the Russians! Small step but that area was hit very hard and Ukrainians pushed them back. New drone footage of a town just NW of Bucha.3 points

New Rotation for OWFT
lazymarcky and 2 others reacted to Biotech for a topic
Hi Skuz, the last couple of days there has been some misunderstanding about the 2 OW FT servers. Because another OW FT was put on due to the server crashes some time ago, people get confused as on which server to log in. Either there are people on both servers , or people log in on one and see there is nobody on and then just leave , without knowing people are playing on the other server. Could the OW FT server that was created at the time most of the servers were down be renamed ?t3 points -
Buttermilk Beer Batter....
major-mark63 and one other reacted to Timmah! for a topic
chicken thighs!!! OMfg. Batch frying some chicken thighs marinated overnight in buttermilk, then plunged into a nice Paulaner beer batter...it's dark meat, so I cook until an internal of 175 or so, to allow the collagen to melt. If you cook it to only 160 or so like white meat, it's gonna still be rubbery; Ridiculously tasty & moist!! Went ahead & did 10 lbs... Chicken like this is good for 3 months...& we KNOW it's not lasting anywhere near that l0ng!2 points -

I want to see a state of the union speech where all a president does, after all the usual entry bullshit ("mr speaker!" etc), all he says is "Thank you all for coming. The state of the union is good. That is all. Good night." and left.2 points

Can I use same CoD World at War account on my new computer?
jointz and one other reacted to NorCal_Jared for a topic
My old computer is still working and years back I had installed the game on it from a cd. My new system doesn't have a cd drive (and I think I gave my external cd reader away), so I just installed it from Steam. So, should I now just swap over the C:\Users\your named\AppData\Local\Activision and drop it into where it goes in the steam folder? Thanks Kapt!2 points -

Can I use same CoD World at War account on my new computer?
BlackRose reacted to NorCal_Jared for a topic
Hey All, I've got a new gaming computer and I'd like to be able to use my same name/account, NorCal_Jared. I originally installed the game using a disc. Does anyone know if it'd work if I used the same disc on my new computer, or if I need to just move to the steam platform (would it be possible to keep my game name with this option?) Any help is appreciated!1 point -
We went up by Newberry, Mi (U.P.) stayed at Kritters North Country , We stayed in one of their cabins at the time(it was nice) - just have to keep and eye if there are strong winds in the area, some times the close the Big Mac bridge down to trucks/campers. www.northcountrycampground.com1 point

first this a CD or Steam install ? the old system working ? use a flash drive to copy over to new sys and copy the game folder and from C:\Users\your named\AppData\Local\Activision...CD version Steam folder copy from old drive to new system steam folder or use the steam install key, write down all your steam keys not known your space/drives on new system C:\ is the default note: you can't use both systems online with same game key , if have a cd and steam key yes1 point -
One of the more interesting things I see on modern concert footage is how almost everybody has their smart phones out taking video. When its dark, all those little screens create a pretty interesting visual effect from a cinematography standpoint. Of course back in the day such things were pretty frowned upon. Hate to say it but never knew about the Barn Jams and had to look it up. Its a shame there isnt a dedicated album(s) devoted to them all.1 point

Floyd's 'Barn Jams', recorded in converted barns on Gilmour's property are a nice discovery; filmed while the personable Mr. Wright still graced our presence. Gilmour's riffing on the steel guitar with Richard expertly supporting is a treat. As an aside: Gilmour even has a recording studio on his private boat.1 point

It's a fun channel set in gorgeous scenery....always taking you on a fun adventure. I'm sure he makes enough off the channel to fund doing this full time. Has lifted my mood on many a dreary cold Winter's day. Can get lost in the episode, forgetting for a time where I am. He produces the videos to bring you along.1 point

HOT CROSS BUNS,
TheLastColdBeer reacted to WeednFeed for a topic
Always loved Hot Cross Buns and wanted to make them for years! So I did. I used John Kirkwood’s recipe. He’s from the north of England. He has a great YouTube cooking channel I’ll leave a link to the buns. I had to make a few changes. I used all purpose flour I had no lemon so no zest I used 50/50 raisin and current I did not put the flour and water crosses I did make a glaze with a bit of lemon juice and icing sugar My crosses were water lemon juice icing sugar and vanilla1 point -
Elon Musk pushes a button and changes the course of History
Krackennutz reacted to Sammy for a topic
Really shocking that here in the US there are still some real die hard 'America First' people that dont see Putin and his invasion as our concern, that its a European problem (which sounds historically familiar), and that America should do little or nothing. This is a %100 geopolitical comment and not a humanitarian one nor about simply doing what is right. But Russia winning means he has control of direct borders with several NATO members and would likely line them with all manner of weapons like the USSR did. This is not some surprise revelation and has been talked about for years. Ukraine is on the front line, for lack of a better word. I dont know if this didnt register with these people, they thought Putin was a good guy and wouldnt invade (despite him already having done so), or they simply didnt care what happens to Europe. They also seem to think he was afraid of Trump for some strange reason. It all leaves me pretty speechless. So kudos to Musk for stepping up when they wont.1 point -

Crazy cable prices...
Snow White reacted to Timmah! for a topic
Yeah, it's a monopoly. They all tacitly agree to a price floor; just like oil companies & gas stations also do; When I worked at a gas station/convenient mart years ago, one of your jobs if you ran a shift was to survey the local competitors' gas prices & adjust yours accordingly. Meaning go up with the highest-price one; but not always to follow the lowest price one, because they might not be prime consideration. Once you got to know the managers of the local competitor stations, you'd just call them up & share the price information; some would be as helpful as to proactively call you in advance of a price change at their store, so you could plan the rest of your shift accordingly. The logic being, if several companies are going to 'compete' for local market share of whatever's being sold, might as well agree on a common price range, lifting the profits of all involved. Shady? Grey area? Dunno, but it was common practice in the Louisville market years ago. The guy who owned the dominant stores in the market-for whose company I worked- was on the board of directors of the other major player in the area, namely Ashland Oil. Now that's SHADY.. but apparently entirely legal.1 point
