Spent some time out at Bodie Island lighthouse this evening trying to capture the milky way with the lighthouse. There was also some bioluminescence in the waves at Coquina Beach.

A few more pics from OBX A few drone pics on a cloudy rainy day I helped a local photographer do a photoshoot of a brand new multi-million dollar 64 foot Spencer yacht. I was on the yacht taking inside photos while my friend Wes was up on the tower of another boat taking photos and video of the outside. I managed to snap a few photos of Wes up in the tower. To say this thing was incredible is an understatement. It's a boat...it's a plane.....I dunno you tell me. And of course more sunset photos

I hope XI Fest is a blast this weekend and everyone stays safe. Unfortunately my beautiful bride and I always plan a week away for our anniversary. We had already made reservations in the Outer Banks....so we could not join you all. But we will be there in spirit. I start my new job on Monday. It’s was easy to politicize it when living in CA. When at its worse CA because of there policies had ships waiting off shore for up to 5 months to unload there cargo. The SF bay was a huge parking lot so they mandated they stay off shore till room opened up. In the mean time they were working over the truckers every way they could slowing down the whole process of unloading. And even now with all that went in there passing laws that will remove thousands of trucks from operation in CA when they are needed the most to distribute the cargo. All part of them wanting to go green with out think8ng is f the affect it has on our supply chain

COVID did nothing to create panic (thank Dr. Fauci and the media for that), price surges or supply chain issues. Nothing. The Government did all of that. The government ruined small businesses and put people out of work. They mandated masks and vaccinations that required people to get a vaccine just to keep a job they had for 30 years. And for what? People still got sick and died (and still are after numerous boosters). And we all know that masks did absolutely nothing. They gave people a puny stipend to make people think that they were actually doing something. If you think that the pandemic was not politicized, you're absolutely wrong....

A raging epidemic that nobody could stop might have had a little something to do with how things went. But I suppose we could have done nothing and let the chips fall where they may. And if things go bad? Guess who gets blamed. Can’t win either way so might as well go for what you think is right even if others think you are wrong. For a long time we have been pretty fortunate with reasonable energy costs. And we the people got complacent with how much we used. That’s just how humans are. Take everything we want, not what we need. Some kind of sport I guess. Who can get the most shit for the least money, if any, wins the game.

You are correct, there is a desperation to 'Go Green' despite the majority of the manufacturing world ignoring it entirely. They are just sitting back watching our costs rise, exports dwindle and people suffer, never mind now Gretas 19 and growing up there might be a common sense approach, ha ha.

i think porverty is more related to the rising prices of housing , and its specially expansive in CA. Average minimum salary workers cant afford decent houses, or even a rent ed appartment some times more than 1000$ a month, Its a problem seen in a lot of countries. The pandemic sored the price of everything , and its not any politics that did that , stop blaming governments , red blue demos or repub , tories or libs no one could controls the inflation its world economics . i think also in US if you dont have insurance and get sick you could ruin yourself to get threated then you can easily loose everything and end up in the streets. When people are in misery they often start doing drugs to forget then they fall in a no end hole . i know its a shock in a supposed rich country , but when you dont have any or few middle class , there is a big divide between rich and poor.

Heavy work schedule, so we all didn't arrive at the lakes simultaneously. Gaggle of cars & boats, but we loaded up Wednesday morning & headed north for breakfast & home. Pouring down rain, battery saver alert came on, I watched the voltage drop until I pulled into a rest stop on IL57 south of Urbana. Guy & Dale picked me up, called towing service for nearest dealer, had the boys drop me off in Champaign, IL. Rode with the towing company back to my car, it started & charged, no point in loading on the flatbed. Lead me to the dealer & make me out a bill. By this time it's noon, no techs around, car is charging fine. Service manager & I flipped a coin, so I headed up the road to Bloomington-Normal. 30 miles out it quit charging again, but JUST made it to Lehmans dealership in Bloomington before it croaked. Charged the battery, found a bad cell, did some recall work while there, they test drove it, pronounced me good to go. About 5 miles away it quit charging again, so back to Lehmans I went. Poor techs & service girls were fit to be tied, they thought they had it sorted out. I laughed, that's equipment for you. Boning me hard for the new battery, and now a GM alternator, but they shot me a deal on new Michelin tires. Sales girl gave me a 2021 GMC Arcadia to drive home (scratch it, and you bought it, big boy). Had to hollar out to one of the techs, "where's the shifter?" "It's on the dash, all toggle now, everyone asks that!" So much for a relaxing fishing trip.

We are all here together, but sadly, not for the same purposes. One hoped we had a common goal, such as a prosperous nation, justice for all, and opportunity to enjoy life. Can't have that while your "elected" representatives view their constituents as sheep to be fleeced. I never intended to bust my arse so some junkie could doze off his fentanyl high off on the sidewalk.

When states tax people into oblivion to do nothing but sponsor socialist policies that encourage this, what do you think is going to happen? Besides the invasion of illegal aliens straining our economy and depending on the government, there are high real estate prices, taxes out the wazoo, socialist policies that make people dependent on the government dole?? This isn't by accident.

I would hardly call it being in power for all those years. Depending on how you want to define it I suppose. Various people like to say (positive and negative) that the democrats are 'in power' in DC. The truth is never that simple. But it makes for a good campaign and media talking point. There is no secret about the state of things and why they exist. Its how politics works. Everybody wants what they see as 'problems' sorted out. So long as it is done in the way they want. And of course so long as they dont have to pay for it (get others to pay), dont have to help do it, and its done in what they decide is a timely manner. Thats fine. Just dont try and shift responsibility for the results, or lack thereof, onto others when it doesnt work. Happens all the time in history, because the human species is populated by morons from top to bottom, and America is not immune. I dont know when, but at some point Republicans threw independents like myself (and I am, despite what some others are told to think) to the curb and labeled us as lefties. As for why? And its an opinion. Independents generally dont give money to politicians or their PACs. I dont. But I have a vote. However then there is another person. A partisan but not a voter (among that %50 of the country that doesnt vote) that has an unused vote but gives campaign money. Would a politician... I dont care which side... prefer to work to get my vote (knowing thats all they are going to get) or would they try to get the partisan vote AND their money? And with that in mind, what will they say and do (or prevent to ensure the other side loses) in order to try and appeal to that person? I used to do the $1 thing on my taxes to help fund political campaigns to encourage at least a little bit of fairness or other non-partisan voices that dont have the big money. Figured it was my duty as an American. But after spending limits were thrown in the trash I stopped. Thanks Republicans. You got what you wanted and the money. And in time the Democrats learned to beat you at your own game. I wonder if those that tried to keep them were secretly happy that they lost. Both sides spend several billion dollars every 2-4 years. All in order to flood what you see, read, and hear in order control what you think. Everyone can shut it all off at any time. Protect yourself from the attempts at control so you can have time to think. But they dont. Based on everything around us I suppose those in control have won. A long post. But at times, various things need to be said instead of punch lines.

We have a lot of that shit up in Washington state too. We had one of those old RVs park at a grocery store a while back and catch on fire (they were cooking meth in it). The burning husk just sat there for weeks with police tape around it until the store finally spent money to clean that crap up. I thought it was just a west coast thing but I went and visited Missouri a month ago - I drove the 2000 miles across the Rockies and the plains. I saw homeless crap like that in more places than I imagined. Even in Wyoming (I didn't even realize anyone lived in that state) I saw some tents and RVs in Cheyenne (the older dilapidated looking RVs I assume are homeless). I saw more homeless in Missouri too. Even in small / medium size towns (~100k) around where I grew up. I believe its mostly drugs. The homeless I run across are usually crazy. They don't seem to really want help, they seem to just want money for drugs. They aren't happy receiving food and there sure isn't any that hold signs that say 'looking for work'. There is an interesting YouTube video on the homeless problem in Seattle that explores this. We as a society are going to have to come to a decision on if we want to lock people up in insane asylums like the old days (or some shit like that) or just let this kind of shit potentially spread everywhere as housing prices continue to go up. The old trailer parks and project housing that existed when I was young was where most of that crazy shit was contained. Now those trailer parks are being sold for millions (in the west anyway) and the poorest and craziest have no where to go but the streets (they won't go to shelters because they can't do drugs there).

Hey n00bs, I'm Ranger, the 3rd best hacker behind @Sharpe and @Firedawg that play on the cod4 ftag servers. Just kidding, all love to everyone here. I am 26 and live in Georgia, US. I'm currently working as a technician at a Dodge dealership. Cod4 was my first fps game I played when it came out in 2007 and have loved it ever since. I used to play a lot of promod on cod4 but my online friend group at the time moved on to different games. I found the XI servers just skimming through the server list on Gametracker. Loved how active and funny the community is here and been here ever since. I only play a couple games when I hop on so I don't make people too upset but you'll see me around!! Also made a youtube channel just for highlights on the xi servers. I been kinda lazy but ill pick back up on uploading sometime.
