Mrs. Smeggie and I spent the weekend working on the boat and enjoying the great outdoors. What an amazing weekend, weatherwise, here in the Metro D.C. area. I've posted in the past our last dog, Rosie, a Westie, Shit-zu mix. She was a great dog that, at 12 years old got diabetes and went blind. Had to give her insulin twice a day and made it to 16 years old. She knew the house layout and got around okay and we still walked every day, when she could run and knew I wouldn't let her hit a mailbox or anything. After she passed, I didn't want another dog for a while, since I was also caring for my wife. But Wifey insisted on getting a lap buddy, since she was confined to the chair. Wife passed a year ago, but Ozzy, the new guy we got in 2023 has actually been a great find. We adopted him from a local Adopt-a-Center and is not only the lapdog she wanted, but also a good dog. We walk daily, as he is a Jack Russel, Chihuahua mix, so has a LOT of energy. His only issue is "little man syndrome". Want to attached only big dogs - a little nuts. Anyway, I call him "needy boy", since he must be with me at all times. Favorite place is between my hip and the arm of the chair. And he'll go ON the water, but not in it! House trainings not going so well, and I seem to have lost the dog, but on the plus side I've also lost the wife.

Knock on wood its been pretty mild this year. Rainy, but mild temps. Reminds me of summers in the 70' and 80's. But then again I was young then and could handle the heat better. Or maybe the Earth has tilted a little.

First off, sorry about all the server issues over the weekend with the new COD4x server. We did a lot of testing before making this public but we can't test for everything without a large amount of people in there. One of those is the type of server we were trying to run it on, so we have moved the COD4x server here 74.91.119.86:28960 >XI< MW2 Freezetag c4x I'm sure there will still be some issues that pop up, so if they do we are still running the main server 162.248.95.178:28960 >XI< MW2 Freezetag 146b9 We also are aware of a few people having issues with this new COD4x install on their machines, we have started a PM on the website to help people, if you are having issues and want to be added to that PM send me a message and I will get you added. So far we've sorted everyone's problem that is in that PM. Again sorry for the disruption to your gaming time.

This crash produced the log that has helped me figure out the root cause. It's connection attempts from people with improperly installed clients that are causing the server to allocate obscene amounts of memory and NFO kills the server because its spiking CPU usage. I have applied optimizations to the server to guard against it. Once we have people successfully rolled over to COD4x client, the crashes will go away. I will be talking to our host as well.

They will work now. I had put a server var for steam players so their names would show up properly, but its unintended effect was on CD players, it would only use their folder name. I have fixed this now. @Totty Other people who have issues with names and who use Steam, please launch the multiplayer EXE directly. Known Behaviors - Names don't show on voice chat activation
