Smart Bots v2 deployed Placeholder bots set at 16 max Auto defrost disabled Use Quick Message (On me/Regroup) to call the bots to your location They will chase you with a RCXD They will use UAV defrosters They will use Predator missiles, AC130, AGM, Helis etc Bots will taunt you and occasionally t-bag your body This is a stripped down version of the smart bots. People, it's a 20 year old game. It doesn't have modern features, it is not running a full fledge LLM. There's a limited 4MB memory and I can only use few 10s of KBs to make the bots smart but also leave enough room for all your shenanigans. The bots do defrost you, if you are close to them. They will not come all the way to the enemy spawn just to die for you. They play conservatively. If a bot is the last one alive, it will hide and try to get a car and defrost the closes frozen player. Please note bots are intended to be temporary and not a permanent addition, unless you folks want them. These are there for you to stop by and shoot some shit when you want to kill time. I made some network config updates too. If you were a bit laggy you should see improvements.

Please see my message above. You guys started playing here before we made adjustments, this is a surprise for us. We are happy that you're enjoying it and that the mod is stable but we weren't ready for it to become prime time (no pun intended @Primetime) today.

Trust me the AI ones kill you on first look and don't defrost as much. You will rage quit harder than a bent penis at full thrust. These guys are nice, they are polite, and let you stress the server with repeated player like activities.

Bots are fun when there are only a few players. Once it gets more full, they just make the game ridiculous. And REALLY not a fan of the self-defrost. Might as well run right into the enemy spawn and do your best as there's no worry of getting stuck there.

The bots are way too easy to kill.

These bot are placeholders, meaning for every human that joins 1 bot is killed and disconnected. Right now this number is set to 25, since we were stress testing the server. I was thinking a practical limit would be 10, similar to what you suggested. So once we have 10 people on the server all bots will disappear.

Nukes are at 25 now, with the bots every human was racking up 250+kills and back to back nuke abuse. It was weird for new comers playing this mod for the 1st time. I will set it to a longer period. It's easily changeable via HLSW. It's the last line in that config file that I mentioned. I can do it when I get home today. I think 60 seconds as you suggested is a good compromise for the time being. For the record auto defrost was always enabled but it was a longer period than the time limit for each round. The more you know.

You turned off nukes didn't you.

It does detract from trying to kill the other team. It mainly only appears to be possible in overtime. Maybe up the defrost time to 1 minute as I do understand the practicality of it as well. As half the bots get stuck somewhere

Let me know if you guys want to disable auto defrost or increase the time to a longer period. Right now it's around 20-30 seconds I think.
