If you're still getting massive lag you might want to adjust your settings (video & sound), and verify your computer has been cleaned, defragged and stuff like that, hopefully that will help you with the lag issues. I love the 64 person server and I believe the head admins have done an excellent job with getting it up and running as smoothly as they already have done. I wouldn't change a thing, the server is heavily populated throughout the day, or at least when I am on there. Do we want to decrease traffic and reduce the amount of players on the server by switching to 32? I don't think that is a good thing to do. I believe if we could get a second server, a 32 slot and make it mixed that everyone, or at least the majority, would be satisfied. I don't know if that's an option, but its my opinion. As far as regular vs. hardcore, exactly how many of the regular players actually play hardcore? When I am normally playing, between 5pm to 9pm EST I know of only 3 or 4 people who play regularly and play hardcore on a different server. This leads me to ask is the debate between regular and hardcore really an issue? Nothing against those who play hardcore, but by switching to hardcore on our server if it reduces the traffic would the switch be worth it? Like a 100-150 ticket quickie. If I wanted to play with 32 players on Conquest I would play BC2. If there was a 2nd server I could play, it would be a 32-40 man normal rush server with ALL the maps. 3rd server? Well, a 32-40 man Hardcore mixed server would be next on my list. CON, CON, RUSH, CON, CON, RUSH...etc. Since I have no interest in DX9 WM2.5 err 3, BF3 is my game of choice and I want to play it on the epic 64 player scale. As for the lag issues people are complaining about, I have been playing the game since launch on my kids pc which is an old quad core with a 9500gt video card. For now when the game isn't fixed with more patches yet, why not 32slots(16vs16). I do hear Lag issues above 40/50 people playing. It doesn't matter what game rig you have, but the ammount of memory bandwith the game (is still) using. Second >XI< server would be nice though with Mixed servers.
