Heineken is awesome, but be careful in the states and Canada. It's often old and skunky.

Got to a local brew pub and tell them you'd like samples of everything so you can see what you like. Start with the weakest and work your way up.

FU Cheese--Your mouth tastes like cock so you have no clue on beer.

I know for a fact american beer is like horse piss =) and horse piss probably tastes better Edited by Cheese

What is the price for this beer in Belgium?

in Romania is 2 EURO

depends on the bar/pub. yesterday i payed 3,20€....export version isn't that strong as the one we drink. the label says the same but when i drink this beer in other countries like france for example. it tasts differendly and i can drink more of them. :)

over here in UK for an individual bottle its £2.50-£3

From our region: "Schlappeseppl" (limp Sepp .. *lol*)

Beers which are available across Germany: Krombacher & Warsteiner

International beers: Guinness, Kilkenny and Corona.

And of course:

Every beer which is free ;)

Cause I am type 2 diabetic I can only drink low carb beer.So in Canada I drink Sleemans Clear and when I go to the >XI< Fest in the USA I drink Michelob Ultra. They both only have 2.5 grams of carbs and both are 4% alcohol. And I'm like Beers the 1st and the last which is about 7-8/day.

Sam Adam's, Dogfishhead, newcastle and Firestone are my favorites. You can't go wrong with Molson or Labatts either. American staples (budwiser, Miller ect) just taste like crap to me these days...but thats due to being stationed in Germany for three years. Beer is a religion to them.

There are a lot of good beers out there but "Krombacher" is the best beer I have ever had...(I'm sure you can get it in the USA) Okay "SINGA" from Thailand is also awesome...

Singha's quality control has dropped a bit, but it's still good.

Anything by Wurzburger is Phenomenal Also...

You brewed these?!

Nice work!

A friend and I are actually going to start a hobby of brewing our own in the next couple weeks. We are acquiring the gear and are hoping to start with something simple and delicious. It's partly because we both love good beer and partly because it's significantly cheaper to just make it yourself here (USA). I don't know where you live but here in the USA a descent imported beer can easily be $4-6 a bottle. (the good stuff)

I hope we don't spoil our first batch. That would be a downer...

Thanks you! This is mostly my son and my work but much of our brewing is done as a group with other members of the brew club I formed. Brewing is a lot easier than most people think! Plus you can make around (55) 12 oz. bottles for around $20 (once your are all set up) and it's better than the store-bought counterpart. Some of the bigger beers I like, such as aged Dopplebocks and Belgian Tripels cost as much as $8 a bottle (12 oz.) in the store, those beers cost about $.50 to make (plus a year to age).

I fully recommend taking up the art of personal craft brewing. It's very rewarding, especially if you have some friends to spread out the equipment costs and help on brew/drink day. If you ever have any questions or run into any concerns, let me know, I'd be glad to help you if I can.

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm totally pumped!

Question for ya: My favorite beers are triples and quads but I've heard that brewing them is a bit more advanced. Something about much higher chances of the fermentation going roten or the sugar yeast ratio not coming out right... It's prolly best to start with singles yea? How much more delicate of a process are the triples/quads?
