Great food, tons of places and things to see. The weather that time of year is anywhere from the upper 60's to 85. You guys in the midwest can take that western vacation you've always wanted. I can get reasonably priced rooms in the bay area fairly easily. It's a 3 day drive from most of the central states and there are many things to see between here and there. Just ask Laz. I Feel for you mate..... Here in the UK , the company I work for Virgin media is starting to make cuts ever since Liberty Global took over they call it stream lining the business. My manager came to work on Monday to get told he had 2 weeks left and he was not the first they are being very sneaky, No announcements just departments all over the place losing people. The word on the grapevine is Liberty tend to outsource the majority of their work if so the engineers will be the first to go because it is the biggest cost to the company.
