I am looking to buy an updated gaming headset. I currently use an old Plantronics GameCom Pro 1. Any suggestions for a good sounding, comfortable headset for gaming?

Thanks

Thanks Bart!

Do you get 7.1 sound from COD2? Is the headset comfortable on the ears and head?

Thanks man :-)

Yes it is 7.1...I wear glasses and they are quite comfortable to wear...My hearing isn't the best and before I had these I couldn't pinpoint the direction of the sounds like distant shots, footsteps and the rustling of leaves...

I've had a Steelseries Siberia headset for several years now and was so pleased with it that I bought another

for the wife.

I used to have a Creative HS800 Fatal1ty headset (or something very close), loved it so much but the only downside was that wearing it for too long hurt my ears a little (probably got big ears) and the one I have now is only a cheap one and you want to get something that is worth the money and not something that can break easily (like mine)

I've had the Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 for a few years now and it's been a great headset.

The cord has been run over by my chair wheels about a million times and the smooth vinyl is worn off the ear pads but it keeps working.

I would also recommend the Logitech G35 headset, For the amount that they cost they are probably one of the best out there. I am able to play Csgo comfortably (for those that don't know sound is a great advantage on Csgo) But they also have great sound for music

Turtle Beach Z22. Very comfortable. Many sets are quite comfortable so long as you dont wear glasses. Otherwise they make them pinch above your ears and after awhile it hurts.

It does require both usb and analog out. usb for the amplifier and mic. Analog for the sound. The jack without it is one of those headphone/mic integrated ones.

I decided on the Logitech G35. They work very well, fairly comfortable and the sound is good. My only complaint is the connector.

Thanks everyone!

When I upgrade my headset and mouse I'm going wireless, so sick of cables getting tangled etc.

Surely wireless technology is good enough now that the response time has been reduced enough for performance.

Razer are the only accessories I buy for gaming, I've never had a problem with any product, and always top of the line
