You can save money by either upgrading or using the current. Get a 22" screen not 21.5".. they just look better. You have selected a micro-ATX mobo and a ATX case.. generally ATX is better as allows for more expansion, extra slots etc.. CobraBites, loaderXI, Nisty* and 1 other 4 Awards

Raidmax power supplies do not hold up.Most of those cheap ones have 2 to 4 power rails and each rail is only 15-20 amps. You will overload and burn that cheap thing up.You video card will need something with atleast 1 35 amp power rail. This is a MUCH better motherboard but it's $105 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132415 850watt Power Supply [email protected] power rail with an amazing 7 year Warranty $134 -$35 after mail in rebate = $99.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438034 Building a good PC is all about checking the numbers. Get a mobo that is going to allow decent upgrades in future. R9 270 is a great value graphics card. I love mine, but it can get hot so you need to get a decent set of case fans. Nisty* 1 Awards

Generally ATX are better as they have better components, more expansion and allow for better cooling systems. I would try and save the money from the OS if possible to spend on the hardware, its cheaper to update the OS at a later date than the hardware. For the screen.. no 'real' reason just that extra .5" can make all the difference for your viewing pleasure.. hxtr and Nisty* 2 Awards

For gaming you even now have the option of SteamOS. There are plenty of great alternatives to windows. (steam runs on linux now too btw) I mostly get annoyed with windows when I'm working on projects. As a development platform, it sucks dog balls.
