So, I'm building a new pc.. I had parts from the Netherlands but it's been over 4 years I bought those.. I therefore am going to buy new parts. I don't have too much money to

Spend but I do want to be able to play some of the newer games..

What do you think of the parts I got lined up? You think I can get better ones? Or cheaper?

Clicky me for parts list:

You currently already have an OS? You can save money by either upgrading or using the current.

Get a 22" screen not 21.5".. they just look better.

You have selected a micro-ATX mobo and a ATX case.. generally ATX is better as allows for more expansion, extra slots etc..

I have a bootleg version of win7 as my OS.. My wife says it's better to get a total new win7...

Does half the inch make much of a difference? When it ccomes to a screen? If so, why?

So you say ATX is a good brand?

Thanks for the feedback duc!

2 things you DON'T want to cheap out on is Motherboard and Power Supply.

Raidmax power supplies do not hold up.Most of those cheap ones have 2 to 4 power rails and each rail is only 15-20 amps. You will overload and burn that cheap thing up.You video card will need something with atleast 1 35 amp power rail.

This is a MUCH better motherboard but it's $105

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132415

850watt Power Supply [email protected] power rail with an amazing 7 year Warranty $134 -$35 after mail in rebate = $99.99

Building a good PC is all about checking the numbers.

I agree with what has been said so far.

Get a mobo that is going to allow decent upgrades in future.

R9 270 is a great value graphics card. I love mine, but it can get hot so you need to get a decent set of case fans.

Also... Stick with your bootleg windows 7...they will still upgrade to windows 10 even if it is not legit.

ATX  is the form factor of the Mother Board...

lamens terms its the size of the mobo.....micro atx are smaller so they have way less expansion slots and less ram slots...i would def go with full atx size mobo....power supply u dont necessarily need anything over 600w just depends on ur other hardware components as well tho....video card mainly one that requires the most usage of power...so u can go with w/e ur video card requires and you will be ok.....but i would recommend atleast 600 w....best brand of power supply to get is evga ...cooler master something like that ...they do have long life ......my wife using evga one and its never failed yet she had it for yr now....

i wouldnt be too sure about that....its always good idea to have legit copy.....cause from what i been reading bout 10 is ...that ppl with bootleg win 7 may not be able to upgrade it....

Yeah as the others have said ATX is the form factor (size) of the motherboard, not the brand. Generally ATX are better as they have better components, more expansion and allow for better cooling systems.

I would try and save the money from the OS if possible to spend on the hardware, its cheaper to update the OS at a later date than the hardware.

For the screen.. no 'real' reason just that extra .5" can make all the difference for your viewing pleasure..

Windows 10 is going to be free for 10 months followed by them requiring you to pay up.

I wouldn't recommend it.

Personally, win8.1 is my last windows os. I'm using linux as my primary after that.

I am with you on Linux. I even have MS Office 2007 running on my Ubuntu box.

As for Windows 10.. unless a clean install.. I would stay away from it. I did a win7 and win 8.1 upgrade and both were slow as shit.

For gaming you even now have the option of SteamOS. There are plenty of great alternatives to windows. (steam runs on linux now too btw)

I mostly get annoyed with windows when I'm working on projects. As a development platform, it sucks dog balls.
