What gaming headsets do you use?

I had a wireless afterglow  that was fantastic but after 4 or so months it got to where i couldnt hear anything ( in game)but my noises and shooting. No matter what i did it never improved. I can hear a online music or anything except in game enemy noises. I bought a wired afterglow and i hear everything again. I like the wireless for ease of use and not fumbling for the volume button half way down the cord.

I use the Turtle Beach PX22s myself because they came with my 360, has survived my abuse of it for over a year now and provides pretty good sound, don't really know how well the mic is though as I haven't heard myself on the other side.

If you don't mind price, I use these http://en-us.sennheiser.com/pc-350-special-edition-gaming-headset

I've used corsair, turtle beach, plantronics, and a few others I don't remember in the past, but the sennheiser ones have worked the best for me. Never had wireless headphones though.

AKG Q701 (lime green edition) on a Soundblaster X7 DAC/AMP. I rock the Antlion Modmic on the set as a microphone.

What it lacks in serious bass, it more than makes up in clarity. I can hear an nat fart 300 meters away and can tell you what it ate the day before. For extra bass I have a Buttkicker installed.

Before that a Kraken... Still have that as backup... Also a very very good set!

I also use razer kracken like many of you!! Good mid priced headset.   However, if you need to save money but dont want a shitty headset. Try these!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Plantronics-GameCom-377-Open-Ear-Gaming-Headset-for-PC-MAC-w-USB-Adapter-/391174809081?hash=item5b13d5e5f9:g:aTMAAOSwAYtWLrVK  Best damn $20 you will ever spend! comes wit a 7.1 digi-usb plug but runs better in stereo without it. I have owned 2 pairs of them in a time frame of 4 years in between. What can I say, I break shit. Really powerful 40mm drivers. dynamic low's mid's and hi's. Best poor mans headset in the market hands down.

P.S. The mic on it is freaking amazing!!! Crisp and clear, noise canceling.  :dj:

Corsair H2100 Wireless 7.1 50mm drivers. Love them, the software that comes with is pretty cool and it seems pretty good at upscaling to 5.1 or 7.1 from Stereo. They weren't cheap, but worth every penny!

Probably a dozen threads about this here. In any case, I have a Turtle Beach Z22 and very happy with it. It is not wireless and does require both a mini jack (for speakers) and USB (for built in amp and mic). Also has the little box in the middle for use with all the various dials controlling the amp, playback, mic, and VoIP. Some issues about Win8 by some people according to posts. But I never tried that last one. Dunno. Pretty sure the main difference with the PX is that the PX is more compatible with consoles. But if you want a console headset go away.

Yea the Z300 is the wireless version and is very expensive.
