Hi all I need your help or rather Advice... I was not going to mention this but its stopping me gaming or rather spoiling it to the point I do not enjoy it.

On September the 13th I had a Stroke (Now I am not looking for sympathy) and I was really lucky that all it has really affected is my left eye, Now that's the problem...

I have lost around 50% of the vision in that eye and when trying to game I am finding it nearly impossible to hit anything and because I am concentrating so hard trying to game and enjoy it I am getting headaches bad ones....

I have new glasses to try and compensate but its just not working what I need is an easier way of getting on target when running and gunning.....

So is there any suggestions as to how I can make it easier to get on target until my head gets use to the imbalance in my vision I am missing gaming.... especially as I have been banned from driving until the hospital gives me the all clear so I cant work and day time TV is killing me lol

Not sure if this will help or not, but I know people who have taken a white marker or a small dab of whiteout and put a dot in the exact center of your monitor. If you line up your crosshair with the dot you should hit what your aiming at, may just take some strain off your eyes.

Intense gaming is hard on people with good eye sight. How about gaming with the bad eye covered? Maybe if your brain wasn't trying to compensate you wouldn't get the headaches.

Sorry to hear about the stroke baldie. That has to suck but at least you survived.

take a black sharp and put a mark center of your cross hairs to make it so u can hit things better without the strain on your eyes.

So sorry to hear about this Baldie, hope you make a full recovery, as for hitting the target better, i would go along with what Tw33tle_Dee said, ie put a dot in the centre of your screen, some were doing this a few years ago in Cod4 and said it worked for them.

This is easily removable too. Sharpie would require solvents to remove and you don't want to risk damaging your monitor.

It is amazing what the brain can recover from, keep training it, keep pushing it and you will slowly rewire it!

There are some overlay programs but with that rumors that VAC will ban you...then there are some Asus monitors that have built in crosshairs that are easily turned on and off...really to hate to hear about your stroke, praying that you recover quickly.

A dot in the center of your screen is by far the best thing. Find a color you can see the best green red yellow ect. You can make it a sticker so it does not ruin your monitor. Coming from COD 5 where  your old people play. Well the grumpy antique squad, and most of the wheel chair crew and walker unit live its what they all do and recommend.

I was sad to read of this further health problem, mate, especially after all you went through with your neck!

At least some of the chaps have been able to suggest possible remedies whilst you get through this.

Personally, I'd stick to explosives rather than rifles (or, more accurately, stick explosives to other players! ).

You're in my prayers, as always.

baldie... try putting a patch over your one eye. You probably more dominate in the other eye before and now you are having to get the other to be dominate. You only need one eye to play.

Very sorry to hear about the stroke but seems you are handling very well. Hope you recover as much as you can.
