Sounds like it is overheating first guess or a driver issue. Does it shut down normal or does it crash where you have to force it off?

yup, cleaning was what I was gonna suggest, I had a video card fan fail, it caused the same problem. I removed the defective fan and used a small case fan. I had to make a rig to hold it, because it was too big to mount on the video card. I spliced it to the v card's fan control. It worked fine, I ran it for several months before finally getting a new video card.

It can also be a failure at the main Power Supply. It happens with cheap brands that some parts of it fails.

Please have something like a monitoring software running for example:

- Core Temp: http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

(minimize to Tray and you can see the CPU temps)

- MSI Afterburner Videocard Utill : http://gaming.msi.com/features/afterburner

(Not only for Overclocking.)

- HwMonitor: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

HWMonitor is a hardware monitoring program that reads PC systems main health sensors :
CPU temperature, voltage, power consumption and utilization.
Mainboard voltages, temperatures, fans speed.
GPU voltage, temperature, utilization.
HDD temperature.

Open the case and put a house fan right up against it so it get plenty of air flow. That can help test to see i it is a over heating problem or not.

Sounds to me like there is a conflict between your desktop resolution and your game resolution and it is causing the game to crash..

Try reducing your resolution in the game

What OS do you have ?
