So in the last 30 days my games will minimize to the desktop.  Doesn't crash, just minimizes.  Happens at random times it seems.  Sometimes 15-30 minutes in, other times an hour or so in.  It will do it with any game.

I've updated my graphics driver.

I've also adjusted what runs at start up and what doesn't.

No virus detected(ESET).

No spyware detected(malwarebytes).

Windows 10 64 bit

i5 processor

16 gig ddr4 ram

gtx 960

Wish it were that simple.  I don't use the keyboard for fps;  I use a belkin n52te.

Yeah, that was my first thought.  Has a gamer mode which is enabled.  Have tried both on and off.  No luck.

Didn't do it at all tonight thus far.  Still don't think it is fixed though cause I really haven't tweaked much of anything in last 24 hours.

I did find this link which I'm gonna try the next time it does it.

Drink less beer  you're not accidentally hitting the windows key on your keyboard or have anything linked to it have you?  that normally minimises by sending to taskbar, presume you mean it just gets smaller, before you start doing complicated things and googling it to find a million solutions go over your settings, of course you could always try restoring to just before it happened, a simple solution and worth a try.

try to update all your drivers, antiviruses (try turning it off at first and see if that works), and games. if it is only on one game and its a steam game, verify the integrity of the game file. usually when i to the verifying it works for me. sometimes its just a file got corrupted or there was a missing file.

irregardless whether you use it or not, I would switch out the KB. You could have a bad or stuck key causing this.

There could be something in that gamepad doing it too...

It happens to me also.  Never thought that it could be a bad or stuck key.  It is annoying when it happens right in the middle of a game.  I am using wireless mouse and wireless keyboard.

I had that problem too some weeks ago. In my case I had to search for an Windows update and install it. And then the same with my Antivirus.
Usually it updates itselve, but not this one.
It solved the problem for me.

Game pads are know to be as freakish as a freakish woman. LOL!!! I have had them completely fail. Go to their forums and see if anyone else had this problem.

I think that may happen sometimes, but sometimes when I leave the computer during spectator mode it minimizes while I am away from the computer.

I see it is happening to others which is no surprise.  A simple google search shows that it is not an uncommon problem but the solutions seem to vary.  For whatever reason it hasn't happened but one other time since posting this.  Windows has updated at least once since so perhaps there was something in there that fixed but who knows.  But now I've probably jinxed the whole damn thing and it will minimize on me next time I play...lol.

update windows.see what happens next

run malwarbytes.to see if it finds a .dll causing an issue .

its a program/process notifying you so -

next leave task manager open  and look at active processes.play your game when it kicks you out note what new active process is now open .make note of it till you see which is causing the issue.then click on it  or google it to figure out how to make that process notify you of a problem.choose to have it not notify you or figure out the solution to end the notifications
