NAME CHANGE - Mrs.EskimoJoe to Stephanie

In the last couple months I have had some pretty rude comments about my old name from members and non members.  I'm not here to start or be apart of any drama just have fun with my friends and escape from my crazy work. So I have decided to just change my name to something simple and hopefully not offensive and if it does than FU (lol) cause this is the name my mama and dad gave me 32 years ago!!! 

I have changed my name from  Mrs.EskimoJoe to Stephanie ,this has been carried out by ROCKAPE>XI<ADM at my request and all records have been updated.

I'm not sure what you're talking about or why you're taking it that way? I never mentioned teasing, Stephanie mentioned 'rude comments' so i mentioned 'rude comments'. Of course there is a massive difference between this and teasing, although overly teasing can turn into something negative if the people involved are not on the same wavelength or don't share at all the same sense of humour - and I would refrain from automatically putting the blame on either the "teaser" or the "teasee". However, if someone behaves in a way that leads someone else to chance their nickname (although we're not really talking about the "end of the world" here either), I would quite definitely consider that to be toxic - whether it was malevolent on purpose (which it probably isn't) or not.

I read this in English that anything rude said about any player you consider toxic ?? am I wrong ? because that is what you clearly say, I think you may be playing on the wrong servers mate, so far this week I've been called a cunt, hear f...g Rob many times, called an asshole and one buddy every time he goes for a shit calls it 'going for a Rob'. Do I take offence, do I fuck and if you are so sensitive that you consider this offensive you ain't ever worked in a male environment, all are said and taken in fun, idiots ain't politically correct m8.

It may be because I know Mik more personally than you but I definitely interpreted what he said very differently to you.

He's very aware of the boundary between teasing and toxicity and he's talking about behaviours that cross that boundary.

Ridiculous! I’m a recognized member of The Poarch Band of Creek(Muskogee) Indians and I always find it funny when people get “outraged” on my behalf.  Hey folks, none of us were alive in the 17th and 18th century. People need to understand that their manufactured “outrage” at something that happened a very long time ago isn’t wanted or appreciated by most Native Peoples. I’m perfectly capable of speaking for myself. 
 

I feel like people that believe they must defend anything Indian/Native American actually do so because they somehow think they are superior and need to help out the poor savages. 
 

I don’t need them, in their arrogance, to speak on behalf of me or my Ancestors. Maybe they need to look inside their own heart and figure out why they think we are inferior to the point we need you to defend us, that’s  what is actually offensive and racist. That being said though, I don’t feel hurt by their bigotry I just think shut up you stupid hypocrite, your racist is showing. 
 

I’m not the only person that feels that way, I have talked about that many times with folks. 
 

By the way, I call my wife Squaw a lot of the time. Does that make me insensitive to myself?

Right, then the problem is my poor English indeed! Reading the conversation again I see how it was unclear. Shiny lies, my English sucks hehe.

By toxicity I don't mean all the teasing and stuff, nor when someone says something slightly rude. I am talking about behaviour that cross the boundary indeed. I also get my good share of FU ingame, sometimes clearly as a joke, other times it seems much more sincere and "aggressive", but it rarely does anything to me other than making me laugh. As far as i know nobody says "going for a Mik" hehe but who knows, maybe someone does say that, and that would certainly be pretty fkn funny too.

The one person that may actually make me ragequit and throw away my computer, phone, and anything that allows me to go online, is that fkn dealer. He is clearly up to some nasty shit.
