Getting closer to legalized weed for all in the US

Decriminalization just passed the House.  I guess we will see where this goes in the Senate.  Makes no difference to me, I have my med card.  But to be able to grow your own "legally" !!!  Thats a game changer.

Maybe then everybody in the US would just chill out instead of attacking each other over stupid shit. I would love to see one of those 'commentary' shows pretending to be news with the hosts and guests all high as kites. Especially interviewed politicians. Who knows they might tell the uncomfortable truth.

for they loosing the market share and by legalizing are regaining the  intrest of the drug trade, but the black market will still servive for the  products they make aren't there yet to be premium.

What will be more interesting will be to see how a country functions when it's workers, emergency services, hospital services and police etc etc are high as kites. There are enough problems now with alcohol and prohibited drugs, legalising weed is overdue, but what are the control measures? Inevitably someone will challenge why (say) a shop assistant can use it but a Judge can't, hey we're all equal now?

There isn't a person on earth who thinks they are affected when drunk or high, but there are millions of sober ones who suffer from their selfishness, and yes it is selfishness. Get pissed or stoned and drive your car into them killing them and it is rarely considered murder/manslaughter - yet it is !

So I applaud it's use for recreation, but dread the results of a free for all, it will cut out the criminal element but at the same time increase usage.

Now for those of you thinking hey I smoke dope, but I don't expect others to, you might be in for a surprise when the scalpel slips, the policeman accidentally shoots you, the plumber falls asleep in your toilet, the firemen sleep in, no food is produced as the combine is weaving etc etc etc

Nice sentiment, it is unenforceable currently under most laws, but when it is legal what are the stops ? Will jobs that ban it be attractive? What about it's health hazards (Denmark is on the cusp of totally banning smoking), needs a lot of thought before being legalised, what are the results in States that have legalised it good or bad, I'm interested.
